Great getaway!

We loved this property. Great location, very clean, quiet and relaxing. Had lots of nice touches to make you feel comfortable. We'd definitely go back!

Beautiful, clean, & well- equipped. Very private and serene. A cozy home that is in a great location to do all things Russian River has to offer. Beautiful, private, enclosed patio with a hot tub and gorgeous views. New favorite stay when we visit the area

Forestville getaway

It was in a great location to both the wedding and rehearsal dinner. The location is very charming. The neighbors were very friendly. Quiet, Peaceful, off the beaten track but close to everything. Lovely clean home.

Forestville Stay

We spent a week here exploring Sonoma County. Very nice, clean place to stay. Nice deck and outdoor space. Used the hot tub after days of tasting wine and eating at some great restaurants. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The best part was the view from the kitchen, so bright and airy. Nice and quiet neighborhood.

Great place! Down stairs bathroom door know needs tightening. The wall heater upstairs, not working. 2 large stove burners not working bent. We only used hot tub once due excessive chlorine. 1 side sensor light not working. Down stairs bed hard mattress, could use a foam topper. Thank you.

Fun weekend

Enjoyed a long weekend, the deck and hot tub were great. Had an issue with the door to the lower unit but it was resolved quickly!

Fantastic Place!

My wife and I were on a mini vacation to Sonoma County in late Oct. We rented this property based on the size, price and location and it was perfect for us! We discussed it would also be perfect if you were traveling with another couple or 2 as well as a smaller family. The kitchen was great and well stocked! We really appreciated the house having a few spices available, to make cooking super easy. We were very pleased with the entire experience!

fine property, just one problem that one blade in one of the upstair rooms broke when it hit the head of one of teh guests who was too tall.Also, the cover to the jaquizzi was broken. it was usable, but would be good to fix.

House ok, lots of confusion in listing

The house itself is ok. Great location, and pretty modern with good appliances, but beware of the bedrooms in the winter: they are not appropriately insulated and our baby was frozen each morning.The house was listed as a three bedroom

Hello Tobias, Thank you for your review. The heating was left on for you before your arrival and was working and heating the space effectively and has not been a past issue at Forest Heights. We are astonished to hear you found the home cold. The only issue mentioned in prior communications was your confusion with the listing. As previously explained -you paid for 2 bedrooms and one bath, not a 3 bedroom as it was just made available to be relisted as a 3 bedroom. We offered the lower unit to you as a courtesy/bonus space during your stay and when staff explained this you were not kind which was very disappointing. despite our efforts to help.

Cute, clean, modern

They owners made everything clean and comfortable. All the modern conveniences. The deck and hot tub were super nice. The view out the kitchen is lovely. Location is convenient. Beds are super comfortable and the bedroom fans are awesome. Great shower. Just a couple of things in case this is something you’d care about…. It’s pretty small. It says 1,000 square feet but I really doubt it There is a downstairs separate studio that looked very nice and comfortable, but you have to access it by walking down a homemade gravely path on the side of the house.

R&R

We wanted a little R&R and that is what we got. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and very clean and well decorated. The house was equipped with almost anything you could need. The location made it easy to explore the area from the ocean,to the forest,and the vineyards. My only suggestion would be a king size bed in one of the rooms, my husband is 6'4 and a queen was a little bit small. My only complaint would be that I never received answer to my query about the 200+ price difference between what was listed on VRBO & the price once I booked.

This gem was so fun and perfect to host a handful of friends. Somehow, in not a huge house, there's 3 completely different areas and vibes. First we cooked in the kitchen and enjoyed the amazing views. Then moved to the hot tub deck! All 6 of us hung out there and dipped in and out of the hot tub. The neighbors are close but it still feels very private. We were too loud for the quiet hood. But it was a quick last minute super find. I'm very sorry about being disruptive! If your group is loud - this wouldn't be the place out of respect for the neibs. But if your group is pretty normal - it's the most bang for your buck! We spent the day at the river which is a 5 min drive away. And went back to our favorite hot tub deck! So there's the main enterance to the main house and there's like a totally seperate in law vibe studio in the back with it's own beautiful garden area and there's even a fire pitt! This would be really great if you have 2 couple's or teens or really any humans that like nice things :) I'll definitely book again with less loud friends next time.

Versatile getaway

I was there with my wife and dog, plus teen for one night. Mirabel Heights is adorable neighborhood at a great location for all Sonoma has to offer. Under 30” to Russian River paddling, wine tasting, good restaurants, and a great walking/running trail from Forestville proper. And I would describe the summer weather we had as ideal: hot (but not oppressively so) from noon until evening, then very comfortable and quite cool overnight. Fog burns off much quicker than Berkeley for example. There are 2 different decks, one outside the door with perfect hot tub, BBQ grill and table for eating, nice umbrellas. Feels very private despite properties being close together. Downstairs furniture/sitting area is also very nice, and you could “stash” a teen or another couple in the separate unit downstairs. 2 things people might want to know: the inside dining area is a bit compact and awkward (in this season, the outside table more than made up for that), and the smaller paddle-board at least was not really functional/floating.

This property is a real gem in the area and when we're back, i'd love to come back again. It's tucked away on a quiet street with very nice and friendly neighbors. The property itself completely aligns with the descriptions and pictures. Having both upstairs/downstairs areas is excellent and great for additional people. The property is quiet and private. The vegetation provides cover near the hot tub and filters out any noise. It's well stocked for anything you need.The one, very minor aspect that can be improved is the door going from a bedroom to the patio. It sticks a bit but you can still get to the area privately and quickly via the front door and the side of the house. The host is quick to respond and considerate.

It was a quaint and beautifully appointed property. Very clean and the interior decor was lovely. It was simple, uncluttered and looked like it came out of the pages of a magazine. It had everything you need. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The patio was a great place to hang out!Driving to it though makes you skeptical. You can only wish that the entire neighborhood had the same pride of ownership that the Spiers family had with their property. The immediate neighborhood homes, however, were fine. We only stayed for the weekend so we never used the hot tub and the third bedroom which was downstairs. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for three girlfriends just wanting to have some bonding time after not having seen each other for months. We will be back.
