The host was so gracious and quick to respond. They have made this like a true vacation home! They thought everything: the kitchen is stocked and the bookshelves are packed with must-reads. Within arm’s reach are toys, playing cards, and tabletop games. The living room flows onto the patio that’s perfect for sunbathing or enjoying an evening by the fire pit. The master bedroom has the comfiest bed and an excellent view of the scenery. The decor is period accurate and looks amazing. The house itself is in a quiet neighborhood sheltered from busy roads and noise. Grocery stores, vineyards, bars, fine dining, the lake, the beach, and the historic town square is only 5-10 minutes away. 10/10 recommended

Fun, comfortable and cozy. Super cool layout with open area for family to hang out. Really nice patio to hang out outside. Very comfortable beds and very nice host.

Private, comfortable and nicely decorated

Photos are accurate. The home is very cute and nicely decorated. The 2 bedrooms are opposite ends of the home, with the family and living spaces between, so each couple is ensured adequate privacy.The kitchen has all the basic needs. The beds are really comfy. The back deck is large and comfortable. The home was spotless and in perfect order (with the minor exception of there being several light bulbs that were out) and our stay was very easy and comfortable.

Refreshing Getaway for Hubby and me with Friends!

We love Agave House! It's well equipped, very clean, with fun games, books, and decor. And the firepit and cushiony seating with patio lights outside was a delight. The view of the lake was just enough, and the birds and trees were like a park. Host Meredith was so friendly and helpful and communicative; her part alone doubled our enjoyment. ps--our friends left a gold wedding ring, housekeepers returned it! Thank you!!!

Beautiful Oasis

This is a beautiful property inside as well as your view outside. The place is even prettier than the pictures. I loved my stay there and plan to go back at some point. Meredith was a great host and stayed in contact with me. Would recommend this to anyone!

Granbury Get Away

The house was a perfect getaway for me and my hubby to celebrate New Year’s. Travel time to historic downtown, for shopping and enjoying walks in the park, was under ten minutes. The evening’s were quiet and relaxing sitting on the back porch making s’mores on the lake. The house is beautiful and has all amenities you’ll need or want. We would definitely return.

I’ve stayed here twice recently - LOVE it!

This has become my go to place for a quick get away. I’ve stayed here twice (beginning of Nov & just before Christmas) and am planning on staying again in February most likely. The entire house is unique, cozy and adorable. It’s peaceful and relaxing. The beds & bedding are super comfortable and even the towels are soft. One of the many things I like about this place, that is not typical for other rental properties, are the extras that are provided. Ground coffee (or beans to grind if that’s what you prefer,) filters, sugars, creamers, etc are already provided. Salt & pepper and almost all traditional cooking spices are also provided. In the bathroom, a new contact lens case is available if needed. Things like that make the property feel more personal and inviting. Check out is easy. In addition, you don’t have to strip all the beds here, which is nice. Meredith is easy to work with and prompt with replies. I feel taken care of when staying here. I’m sure I’ll think of more positive things to add to my review, but I’ll just tack them on to my next review when I stay here again.

Much needed vacay

Everything was exactly as described! The house is a perfect location for a quiet get away. The owners labeled things so there was no question on how to work things. Every detail was thought out!

A beautiful and unique property

We spent a couple of nights here and had a wonderful time! The property is beautiful and unique and was perfect for my little family. We enjoyed the decor, the sensible layout, and the amenities (especially the canoes and kayaks). There are even a number of board games and toys provided, which is a boon for those of us who have toddlers. I also appreciated the timely and clear communication from Meredith. We will stay here again the next time we visit the area!

A wonderful stay

Before check in communication with the host was very good. The house is wonderful. Very modern and clean. The river behind was a source of entertainment. The kids lived fishing and going on the canoes. The property is private and not overlooked. It’s about a ten minute drive into central Granbury. This was definitely The relaxing break away from the city that we needed. Would highly recommend staying here.

Great Getaway!

The Agave House did not disappoint! The pictures on the website are spot on in regard to the vibe and style of the place. Designed for easy living with a great view of the outdoors and the water, we felt like we were tucked away in a serene yet easily accessible retreat that was close to the local attractions. Our host was great! Meredith was friendly, thoughtful, and readily available if we had a question or concern. I would highly recommend the Agave House for your next vacation to the Granbury area!

Love the Agave house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house. My granddaughter says it’s her favorite place we’ve stayed so far. The house is very clean and we had everything we needed. And the layout and decor are so cool, from the curved walls to the floor to ceiling windows. You will not be disappointed staying here. We hope to come back someday.

this was out first time at Agave house. We chose it because of its windows honestly and the canoes/kayaks were perfect for our party of four. the decor is excellent, and the property was tucked away in the end of the canal and perfect for fishing and laying out. The afternoon showers we got with weather were perfect for fishing and cooling off the hot Texas afternoon. The bedrooms were spaced perfectly on each end of the house for privacy. Nice spot and we are already looking at a return visit. The town is super cute, and you must eat at Christinas on the square and visit the little bookstore and local community theater is just beautiful. Thank you for your hospitality we look forward to a return visit.

Best birthday trip ever!

We had such a wonderful time staying at the agave house, the house had included kayaks and canoes which we used to go from the canal to the lake and it was so relaxing. Meredith was wonderful about providing me with all of the information about where we were staying and even gave recommendations for things to do in Granbury! We had a blast and will definitely be back!

Loved the vibe of the house with the open floor plan, curved wall of floor to ceiling windows with a view of the back deck and canal. Great communication with the host who checked to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great experience and highly recommend!

Piece of Paradise

This place was amazing. The house’s architectural design is very unique which is what made up our mind to come here. Windows, windows & windows❤️ The fact that it is on one of Granbury’s Lake canals makes it even more special. You can not see any neighbor’s houses when you are on the large back deck even though you know they are there. The woodsy feel camouflages everything but the canal waters. The fishing is good from the dock. My husband caught 3 fish in an hour off of it. Great place to stay and we will be back. Thank you Meredith for your hospitality. Michelle

Hidden Gem

What a great getaway on the lake, tucked away, and yet only a short drive to the historic square. Floor to ceiling windows across the entire backside of the home—and an equally large deck—made us feel like we were nestled in a tree house. We ante every meal on the deck among the cardinals, at the outdoor table, or around the fire pit. Inside, the very clean, minimalist, fresh design offered every amenity we needed. The two full baths and bedrooms were perfect for two couples. Host was very hospitable and easy to reach. We had a lovely, peaceful stay.

Nice getaway

The house is situated right on an inlet to the river with large windows that look out onto the deck. The house has fun decor and all the basics that you could want/need. It also has some games for the kids.
