Welcome to The Lazy Crab Beach House just a few blocks from the Chesapeake Bay. Escape from reality and enjoy everything North Beach and the Chesapeake Bay has to offer. Located on the popular 7th Street, you will be close to the boardwalk/pier, restaurants, and small-town shops. Conveniently located near Herrington Harbor, Chesapeake Beach Water Park, and Rod N’ Reel Casino/Gaming. We have FREE BEACH PASSES for up to 4 guests.

Our beach cottage is the perfect choice for families who want to bring their dog/s along for the fun. With a beach theme throughout, our rental is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day at the beach.

In the family room, you'll find a comfortable couch and a cozy fireplace, perfect for relaxing on cool nights. The outside features a fully fenced yard and a front porch - proving the perfect spot for morning or evening relaxation and enjoying your favorite beverage. Featuring a complete laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer, you won't have to worry about running out of clean clothes during your stay. Also, choose off street or on street parking - whichever you prefer.

We provide all linens, beach chairs, an umbrella and beach towels, making it easy for you to pack light and enjoy your vacation to the fullest. And with a safe, friendly neighborhood that takes pride in its surroundings, you'll feel right at home during your stay.

There’s plenty to do in the area - go birdwatching at Wetlands Overlook Park (just around the corner from the Lazy Crab), walk the boardwalk with your dog, experience the Patuxent Wine Trail, spend a day at Chesapeake Beach Waterpark, pick up some delicious Blue Crabs from Tyler’s Tackle Shop & Crab House or Calvert Crabs and Seafood, or take a walk to the many restaurants located on 7th Street!

The Lazy Crab Beach House

I highly recommend this property. The house was charming at a great location for walking to restaurants and stores. More importantly the house spotless and well stocked with whatever you might need for your stay. Would highly recommend it and plan to rent it again.

Wonderful stay for Christmas

Can't say enough good things about this cozy house especially staying for Christmas. Loved having the tree in the living room and the 2 electric fireplaces! Very nice neighborhood for walking to the restaurants and boardwalk. Love to come stay in the warmer weather to use the grill in the fully fenced yard and swing on the porch!

Cozy clean and just right!

My family of five and our pup just had a wonderful Thanksgiving break staying at the lazy crab. The home was very clean, equipped with just the right amount of things to make our stay easy without cluttering the space. The beds were comfortable, the fenced in yard was perfect for our four-legged family member, and we enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants and to the beach. Everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming in town, and we had fun digging for shark teeth with our kids too. Even in the off season, it was the perfect relaxing getaway with plenty to do (the Christmas tree lighting was chilly but a lot of fun)!

Serene getaway in North Beach!

The Lazy Crab was such a delightful home to visit. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house had everything any traveler could need, including a washer and dryer! It was evident that the owners put a lot of love into making sure guests enjoyed their stay. I highly recommend! You will feel right at home.

Birthday weekend

Had a great long weekend seeing the sights around North Beach and surrounding area. Cozy spot, easy and convenient check in. Boardwalk, pier and restaurants within walking distance. Took about an hr to get to Navy game; enjoyed it all! Home is pleasantly decorated, clean and comfortable!!! Even able to bring our 12 yr old lab!! 5 stars

Quick Visit with Family

The Lazy Crab was the perfect house for our weekend visit with family. House was very clean and had everything we needed. Easy walk to shops and restaurants so location was great too. Host was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful time. The house is the perfect size. I came with my mother to celebrate her birthday along with two children. It’s the perfect location walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. Beach access was clear and seamless. We will definitely stay again!

Summer Days

Nice and quaint house. Beautifully decorated and accessorized. Perfect location, walk to restaurants and beach. Quiet, clean neighborhood. Our dog enjoyed the yard and people watching which, she is not used to doing.

Perfect Family Vacation House

The house is as advertised! Clean bright , homey without being cluttered . Perfect space for family with 2 kids and a dog. Linens were clean , kitchen well appointed . Having a fenced in yard was great with a dog & kids . Tiny walk to the beach & boardwalk. Danielle & her husband were lovely as well & very reachable. Will definitely return !!

Perfect weekend fishing trip!

Our family was traveling into DC for a week for my husband’s meetings and we wanted a place to go to for a few days before having to be in downtown. This place was PERFECT! The location is great, walking distance to restaurants, a great little bar with live music and the beach. It was by far one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in. I would rent this place again and again! We had a teen and a 10 year old and they loved our few days here as well. The beds were incredibly comfortable.

This cottage is perfect! Danielle was very responsive to any questions we had, and she has this place so well appointed. It is lovely and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

A Relaxing Stay

This wonderful property is a short walk to both the beach and restaurants. The check in and checkout process was smooth, the property was clean and stocked with necessary amenities (toiletries/kitchen products/ beach chairs and umbrella), and communication with the host was stellar. We will definitely be back!

Perfect as always

My husband and I moved from the area two years ago and so are in town frequently to visit friends and family. Weve stayed at the Lazy Crab and the owner's other property next door at the Blue Crab multiple times. The properties are located in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping, and plenty of parking is provided. The houses are well appointed and provisioned, nicely decorated and comfortable, and always beautifully clean. Danielle is very easy to work with, and responds very quickly to any question or concern. It's gotten to the point that we will literally plan our visits around the availability of either of Danielle's properties. You will not be disappointed with either the Lazy Crab or Blue Crab!

Cozy, well-appointed cottage with everything we needed

The Lazy Crab was a wonderful place to stay for a girls weekend away! Everything was provided to make the stay easy, comfortable and fun! If we needed it it was there. The location was perfect… great restaurants right down the street and the bay just beyond… an easy walk away. The owner was responsive when we messaged. All good and I would stay again. Thank you!

Comfy and cozy stay in North Beach, MD

The Lazy Crab Beach House is a charming and comfortable home in North Beach, MD. It’s in a great location just a few blocks from restaurants and the boardwalk, and made for nice day trips in early March north to Annapolis and south to Solomon’s Island. The house features a perfect pet-friendly fully fenced in yard and front porch, and it overflows with amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return there in a heartbeat.
