Check-in was seamless and the house was very clean and well stocked. The location was good and close to a marina/gas station/restaurant. The screened in porch facing the lake was great for the evenings. The house worked out well for our group and everyone had a good time. Overall a great find on Lake Gaston that’s pet friendly.

Plenty of room for us, very quiet location and no issues getting our 18’ boat in and out and docked. Enjoyed the screened in porch and the home has pretty much anything that you would need for your stay. Thanks!

Girls’ Weekend

Perfect property to relax and have a quality stay. My girlfriends and I never left the property-we had a wonderful friends’ reunion. We picked a spot half way from Charlotte and Arlington-we could not have picked a better spot. Very clean, and phenomenal communication with the owner.

We had a great stay at Dustin’s place. The house was as described and Dustin was very communicative. We used the property for a project we were working in the area instead of staying in a hotel. We enjoyed the lake and being able to relax after work.

Lake living

Great place with all the amenities! Easy check in, questions answered quickly. We had paddle boards so it was easy to get to the deeper parts of the lake to swim. If you are wanting to jump off the dock to go swimming, this is not the place. It is shallow right off the dock with growth and mud. They do supply a paddle boat so you can get to the deeper parts! Overall a fantastic place!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m glad to hear you were able to enjoy some quality time with your extended family during your stay. I appreciate your notes about the home’s setup and the WiFi service. I’ll review the internet connection to see if improvements can be made, especially for the basement TV area, and will keep your comments in mind regarding how the home is best suited for guests. Your input helps me continue to make the space more comfortable for future visitors.

Great little get away.

What a beautiful view all around. And the Fire pit is just perfect for a cool night. Screened in porch is a nice touch. Large deck with table chairs. Inside is cozy with basic amenities. Nice touches throughout. Downstairs is perfect for second couple or kids. Good game selection too. Really can’t ask for more. Everything you need is within 20 minutes. We will be back, thanks Dustin!

Just like it was your home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Smith house. I brought lots of things I didn't need , every item used in kitchen and bathrooms was provided. I"m not used to this level of homeyness. The bedrooms were large the beds were comfy, and bathrooms too, and the house was clean as a whistle and smelled divine. Enjoyed the ping pong and the boathouse. The VRBO app wasn't working properly but the owner communicated everything necessary. It was so quiet at night and stargazing was perfect.

Comfortable and well stocked

Seven of us used this property for a ladies' retreat. The house is very nice. The cleaning crew did a great job. The kitchen was well stocked with tools, towels, dishes, cups, glasses, crock pots, toaster, coffee pot, and even spices. The beds are comfortable, the futons seemed more suited for children than adults; but we just rearranged a little and all slept well. Communicating with the property manager (Dustin) was exceptional. I was probably a bit of a pest as I kept coming up with questions; but he was patient and always answered quickly. We would all recommend this property. Alot is offered for the price.

Wonderful Stay in Bracey, Va

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this lake house! The property was exactly as described, and even more charming in person. Here are some of the highlights: - **Cleanliness:** The house was spotless when we arrived. The linens were fresh, and the kitchen was well-stocked with essentials. - **Location:** The location is perfect, just a short walk down to the lake. - **Amenities:** The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, paddle boat, water tubes, life jackets, a barbecue grill, and ping pong table for us to enjoy. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was important for us. - **Host Communication:** Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful. They provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Overall, this lake house exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Amenities were much appreciated. We enjoyed the paddle boat and board to take the kids out for a ride. Kitchen provided all the basics to be able to cook meals at home and save money on eating out.
