Gorgeous A-frame on Lake Barkley cove: private dock, fire pit, pets ok

We're so glad you enjoyed the space, and especially the dock and the paddleboards we provide! We always recommend Eddy Creek Marina as it's by far the closest one to the house, less than a 10minute drive. The house is surrounded by big, gorgeous trees which is great in the summer because of the shade they provide, and of course falling leaves aren't a problem until early September (there is a leaf blower in the shed if that was a necessity). It's unfortunate that it was a very hot the weekend you were there, and the AC was on, we just set it at a higher temp to conserve energy when no one is in the house. We live 3 hours away so we're not able to adjust it right before an arrival. However if all doors are kept closed the house cools down as needed, and the ceiling fans in every room and several floor fans help also.

Thank you for your comments about the home, we do our best to make it very comfortable and to keep it well stocked for our guests. As for the lake access, it's true that the home is built on sloping land. But the listing photos clearly show the steps down to the lake and we mention that there are many steps down to the water. So it seems odd to look at the photos, book the property, and then complain about access to the lake. We hope that future guests will read the descriptions thoroughly, look at all the photos, and contact us with any questions before booking.

We're glad you enjoyed the house and location. The HVAC system is older and requires some maintenance (keeping a filter clean) that we will definitely be more on top of in the future. And we would have had someone to fix it right away but we weren't told about the problem until Sunday evening. We always tell our renters to let us know about a problem right away so we can take care of it! Also it's important to keep in mind that during this particular stay there were excessive heat warnings as temps were in the mid to upper 90s. But there are floor fans or ceiling fans in every room so with normal summer weather the home is very comfortable.
