Beautiful view from the deck. We saw deer. Short walk to the amazing Footbridge Beach. If you like to walk you can walk all the way to Perkins Cove and back. Only 5 miles round trip. Short 1 mile walk to downtown Ogunquit. “The Hook” next door to condo, has great food, drinks and live music.

The condo was comfortable and had all the essentials. The view of the marsh off the deck was lovely. The only drawback was that it was no where near Perkins Cove. Driving to downtown Ogunquit was necessary. It was closer to Wells. The WiFi worked really well for my daughter’s remote working needs. The laundromat across the street was convenient. Putting laundry facilities in the unit would have made it better. The shower head in the first floor was very intense. It would be better with a different fixture. A wand would be ideal. Climbing 2 flights of stairs was necessary to get into the unit, so people with mobility issues should not choose this one. The host was responsive to messages during the day. At night I got an AI response.

The condo is incredibly clean and the views are magnificent. The title of the property is a little misleading with Perkins Cove in the name. It is not in Perkins Cove. It is close to Wells but within walking distance to downtown Ogunquit restaurants and shops - it is about a 15-25 minute walk depending on your pace.The kitchen really is not stocked for cooking and there is no dishwasher though the checkout instructions state load dishwasher upon leaving. The living room tv also was not connected to the wifi so streaming was not available but we were not there to watch tv so it was fine.It is a comfortable place and the view is spectacular but if you are expecting some of the amenities of home, laundry, stocked kitchen or dishwasher- this may not be the place for you.

We were surprised by some of your comments, as this is the first time we’ve received feedback that the kitchen was not adequately stocked for cooking. While it may not be equipped for gourmet cooking, we do provide the essential cookware, dishes, utensils, and other basics needed to prepare meals. We’ll certainly take another look to make sure everything is in place and easy for guests to find. We’re also sorry for any confusion regarding the location. The property is located in Ogunquit and is within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, and shops. “Perkins Cove” in the title is intended to reference one of the well-known landmarks in Ogunquit, along with the other locations mentioned, rather than indicate that the condo is physically located in Perkins Cove. Regarding the TV, we appreciate you letting us know and will check the Wi-Fi connection. Guests need to bring their own codes for streaming. Thank you again for the feedback. We’re always looking for ways to make the experience clearer and more comfortable for our guests.

VRBO with a view and great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. two flights of stairs to our condo was challenging for 94 year old father but he did not want to change accommodations primarily because he loved of the view of the marsh and ocean beyond, especially the changing of the tide and observing the water birds.

Wonderful

The property was a cute condo very clean and neat! The view off back balcony of the estuarys was beautiful! You could walk to a few restaurants and ice cream places! And a walk to downtown ongunquit was only a mile!

Maine Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location right on route 1 . Walking distance to 5 restaurants short ride to a beautiful beach. Weather was fantastic warm and sunny. The condo was also close to many shops and grocery stores. The only thing that was a little strange was many of the condo's were not rentals and the full time residents did not like renters, all thought we were quiet and respectful of their privacy we did feel a little like we wre not wanted.

Clean stay and good communication!

Overall a good stay - the place was clean and tidy upon arrival and communication was quick with the host! Frustrating that we couldn’t use the building laundry - we were doing an extended stay so wanted to refresh towels/throws. watching other units use the laundry and host providing us laundry detergent was rubbing salt in the wounds ha Apartment setup was very bare bones and mismatched - kinda hard to prepare and save food at home - this was frustrating as a long stay.

Hi Ryan - I am a bit disappointed by your lukewarm review -- especially since we made special arrangements to accommodate you. It is unfair. The listing for this home clearly states that there is no laundry facilities in this condo development. There is a laundry mat just across the street. We were not holding anything back on you. The lack of laundry facilities for guests is an HOA rule -- not ours. They limit the use of Laundry to owners only. We don't even have the code. I am glad you found the condo clean and the communication quick. Those things are important. LIz

No Amenities or contact with management. Broken handle on shower and no one to contact to fix it. Laundry and Dishwasher was not available as promised. No one to contact. Had to go to a laundromat and pay for clean towels and clothes. Pool was dirty and no one was around to tell or contact. Tubs in room were filthy and one bathroom smelled very srongly of cigarettes and we had to buy an air freshner. It smelled so strongly it made me feel sick and so I had to use the bathroom with the broken shower handle to shower everytime and it just kept falling off. I tried to contact them about the laundry but when they didnt answer or message back I knew I couldnt tell them about the shower handle. Construction was going on next door all day but we were gone in the daytime. Not a good place for a vacation, just people letting their condos to make extra money when they arent using it. Gross.

Andrea - this is a shocking and highly unfair review. It is very damaging, so I want to take the time to reply in detail. I just went to check our interactions with you and I counted a total of ten. Not once did you mention any of these issues. We even checked in with you after your arrival to see if all met your expectations. I am not sure who you contacted, but it was not us. We are a very small company and I am the one who answers guests. I looked back on our call log, texts and emails and did not see any communication from you. I would have reminded you that we did not say there was laundry or a dishwasher onsite. In fact, we specifically write about it in our description so all potential guests no there is not. We never want to mislead anyone. Apparently, yes, the shower handle is broken (but still works). The housekeeper should have reported this to us and I do apologize for that. Of course, we will fix it immediately. No amenities? We supply dish detergent, sponges, laundry detergent (and we direct you to the laundrymat across the street). We also supply bathroom toiletries. This is spelled out in our information and we send it to you 3 times to be sure you don't miss it. Obviously, you did. The condo assoc closed the pool for the season. The pool is open seasonly. My reply is directed to any potential guests. Pls know we care about our guests comfort & want them to enjoy Maine. We are responsive and answer all calls, texts & emails.

The house was in a nice area and as a whole fit our needs had we only stayed a night or two.On top of minimal supplies, we were only provided one towel, hand towel, wash cloth per person for a 4 night stay and the troubleshooting guide provided after EVERY message to the host, said that they could be refreshed at the onsite laundry, but the notes left on the table said otherwise. They provided a box set of shampoo and conditioner for each bathroom, but I would have preferred to have had the essentials like toilet paper, paper towels and an extra towel for when I wash my hair. I looked and ultimately went with this place because it said it had laundry facilities. There was a note that they weren’t in the unit but it was nearby, which seemed to mean they had onsite laundry. It wasn’t until we got there that we found out differently. There is a lot of misleading and mixed messaging but when reaching out they are very clear that they are unwilling to provide you anything above and beyond a ‘starter kit’ even when you book for longer periods of time (mine was a 4 night stay). For that reason alone I will never book one of their places again, and suggest you do the same.Also, because I know this will ‘come out of nowhere’ I’ve provided my proof in pictures, including where they tell me their supplies are “…not meant to last the entire time you are there”…super welcoming all for a few dollars in supplies!!

As a remote host 1.5 hours away, we can’t provide on-demand service like a hotel, but we’ve designed our setup to cover everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stand by the quality and clarity of what we provide—no surprises, just a great experience.

Horrible condo

We were expecting a nice clean well supplied condo. By the pictures and the description you would have thought it would be impeccably clean and well stocked with dishes, soap bedding . . . There were 3 wine glasses, 4 coffee cups random sized plates. The dishes still had price stickers on the bottom untouch which means they hadn't even cleaned them before they put them up. THe shower curtain on the inside of the tub was pink with old mildew. They left 2 towels only and now washer or dryer to refresh on our 4 day stay. EEww there was long black hair in the shower on the walls. I have very short grey hair and so does my husband. It was also really really dark even in the middle of the day. Soooo depressing. All in all the best part was the location on the marsh. We loved getting out of the horrible condo and looking out over the marsh. It was not what they promised this condo would be. I'm very disappointed. Oh and when I told the property manager the issues. She wrote back and said "sorry you think it's dark." I don't think it's dark it is dark and what about the mildew shower curtain I had to shower with for 4 days. Summing it up "Gross"

OUCH! I guess your intention was to really hurt us. Mission accomplished. But this is coming completely out of left field. Yes, you told me you thought the condo was "dark". And I WAS sorry you felt that way, so I wrote that back. The weather was overcast and I think that had a large part to do with it. I'm sorry that you did not have a good time while you were here. I've reviewed all the correspondence back and forth during your visit and I don't see where you mentioned anything about any issues that you've had except for it being dark in there. If you had said something I would have been able to possibly address some of these issues while you were here by sending out a cleaner again or bringing you more supplies or some other solution you would find agreeable. We do not want you to be unhappy. We work hard to maintain all our properties and certainly immaculate is at the top of our list. Also, it is not my intention to mislead anyone with a listing description. Who wins in that case? We also provide lots of pictures so people can assess. Further, we are fully available to answer questions before the booking and certainly, if you had let us know you were unhappy, we would have addressed it immediately. So in summary, while your review was extremely hurtful, I think it was also very unfair.

Inaccurate listing: be aware. We booked this property for a week Long beach trip with two young kids because it was close to the hotel our family was staying at and because it had laundry as an amenity but neither of these things were accurate. This listing says “Perkins cove” but is actually as far from Perkins cove as it can be and still be considered Ogunquit. Listing also says laundry (not in unit but nearby) please be aware that it is actually referring to a laundromat across the street. Though these things upset me I will give credit that they respond to messages timely and the property was clean and stocked for a beach trip.

Thank you Danielle. I know you were a little disappointed and that is disappointing for us, too. We always want to be as up front as possible so guests know what to expect. That is why we put the lack of a laundry onsite right in the listing and we tell you again in following emails. The mention of Perkins Cove, Marginal Way, Ogunquit Beach, etc are all meant to highlight attractiioins in Ogunquit. It is always good to read descriptions and all communications fully and of course, we are available to answer any questions.

A Much Needed Respite, and An Honest Review

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I'll start off by saying I was a little nervous at first bc of some bad reviews. All I can say is we had a LOVELY stay at Footbridge Escape and clearly some people just like to complain. Everything we needed was provided for us. We would definitiely stay there again! I would say the only tiny critique would be as we got closer to the trip we reached out 2 times to ask extra questions, and did not hear back, but to be fair when we went back over the details found the info we needed in the listing. As a professor, I tell my students- if you have a question- read the syllabus first! It was a good reminder to me to read the details! Also, no dishwasher- not a probelem for us, but there was a starter kit with dishwasher detergent in it. We never asked about one, but might matter to someone else, so am mentioning it. Only one set of towels is provided (as listed). I think one small improvement would be to just throw in one extra towel per guest. We drove, but if flying you are asking guests to either go out and buy a towel, go across the street to wash it or pack one which takes up luggage space. My husband enjoyed the pool one day and it was heated which was a bonus. The million dollar view was beautiful- every morning I skipped into the living room like a child and flung back the curtains and it was like a magical Chirstmas morning every day taking in that view, drop dead gorgeous beach is only a short drive or 20 minute walk away (all flat). The two bathrooms was an absolute bonus and the property and grounds the condo sits on is beautiful. Since the shuttle only runs after July 1 we walked into town several times- all the way to the other end and it was only an easy, 30 minute walk. There are may restaurants within a 15 minute walk or less as well. The condo was SPOTLESS and we were given a starter pack of toiletries that easily got us through half the week. All in all, I would give the experience 4.75/5 stars! I actually wish I was there right now...
