Surrounded by huge 100 year old oaks and scenic wildlife, the Salt Creek is a well appointed get away. If you want to experience world class fishing and also have resort level accommodations then this is the place for you.
We fell in love with Sargent in 2020 and bought the Salt Creek in early 2022. After almost a year of renovations we are ready to share our family retreat.
We love to get away and relax. We love the people and atmosphere in Sargent and hope you will too.

We had a great time, the house is nice and comfortable, the back yard has ample shade and seating for our family, the fishing dock is nice and has lights for night fishing, We will probably rent again in the future.

Somewhat older property that needs a little attention. We noticed a few things in disrepair but what a beautiful outdoor setting. The neighbors are great.

Everything was as pictured. The home was as you’d expect. It was clean and welcoming. The owner was very fast responding to any questions. Will definitely look to stay here in the future.

Enjoyed our stay, nice property and house. The mosquitoes were really bad, but that happens by the coast. The house was clean and had about everything we needed.

The house and property were excellent. Very clean and had all the amenities. Fishing was great and the pier was very nice. Will be staying here again in the future.

Nice spacious back yard on the creek. Friendly neighborhood. Plenty of room for everyone. We really enjoyed our stay!

This house was just what we needed! The master bedroom draws you in. It was nicely decorated and all of the rooms had plenty of room. My husband and kids spent 95% of the time fishing from the backyard. They actually caught fish and a few crabs and possibly a shrimp lol. There was a possum that clearly lived on the property but he/she just walked around at not bothering anyone. We need him Fred ;) We loved and recommend this property!

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean and very spacious! My guys loved the fishing, the dock was great and covered for the few times it sprinkled while we were there! I highly recommend this home if you're staying in Sargent!

Amazing

We absolutely loved our stay and loved the house and location. Caught lots of fish off the dock and we just enjoyed sitting outside in the huge backyard. We definitely will be going back!

Enjoyed this property with my family. Had a little mishap due to some rain, let Gavin know. It didn’t stop us! It was our first time in the area and we loved it! Cannot wait to go back.

Excellent getaway

Great location for a getaway. We went fishing in Matagorda and ate at the restaurants in Sargent, Lake Jackson, and Bay City. Too little time to take advantage of all of the amenities. Thanks Gavin and Sarah for sharing this slice of Heaven with everyone!

Location is nice, as it’s right on the creek with beautiful oak trees. The furniture was badly stained as well as the linens. Overall it was in need of a through cleaning. We did not feel comfortable on the furniture and actually left a day early. The photos in the VRBO listing are from awhile ago.

I am just seeing this review. I am so sorry that the house was in that condition. I haven't been there in a while and I havent had that feedback before so I will address it immediately. I wish I would have known at the time and I would have had it handle then. I am always appreciate feedback and will make sure this is taken care of.
