Welcome to Seashore Studio, your perfect coastal retreat in the heart of Del Mar, California. This beautiful and private studio is located just across the street from the lagoons of Torrey Pines State Beach, surrounded by trees and gentle ocean breezes. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this quiet residential neighborhood, with your own private yard, entrance, and luscious landscaping.

The studio features a comfortable queen size bed and a sleeper sofa that opens into another queen-size bed if needed, perfect for small families or couples. Though the studio is 400 sq ft, it is fully equipped with all the standard amenities you might need during your stay, including fine linens and bedding by Comphy, a full gas range, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, and a space-appropriate fridge and freezer.

Entertainment and relaxation in the living area is complemented with a flat panel Smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and, of course, a full private bath. The studio comes fully stocked with all the necessary toiletries, towels, dishes, cookware, and utensils.

Just a few minutes walk away from Del Mar's gorgeous beaches, popular surf spots, upscale boutiques, and award-winning restaurants in downtown Del Mar, Seashore Studio is perfectly situated for exploring all that the area has to offer. This property is intended for use by responsible adults and their families. There is a zero tolerance policy for parties, excessive noise and events. This home is equipped with noise monitoring systems and the noise ordinance will be strictly enforced.
No outside noise after 10pm, otherwise the police will be called and the violation will result in immediate eviction and $1,000.00 fine.

Pets discouraged. If approved, limit 1 small dogs per group. Pet Fee: $100/night/dog. Guests must disclose their dog(s) information and get approval. Failure to notify us may result in additional charges.

If you are permitted to bring a dog, please do not leave them unattended at the house. Make sure to pick up after your pet. No barking tolerated by neighboring apartments.

Valentine's weekend

We loved the unit and location. It was well furnished and homey. A couple of drawbacks were: 1) Directions for using tv remote were insufficient. 2) I feel management company should check propane tank. We couldn't get the fire pit to work! The tv remote's instructions did not explain how to return from app use to live tv! Overall pleased!

Love this small but convenient studio

We love Seashore Studio. It is a small but so convenient to all of the things we do while visiting. Del Mar has many fun restaurants and activities. We enjoy walking and can walk the beach into Del Mar or walk to the Torrey Pines State Park. This is a perfect place of two people.

Excellent location, studio was clean and close to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. Close to restaurants - within walking distance. Quiet neighborhood!

Del Mar business trip

The studio cottage is very conveniently located walking distance to Torrey Pines State Beach, bars, cafes, restaurants etc. The courtyard garden is very peaceful and quiet and the unit was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bed was great, and the shower had good pressure. There is a skylight in the ceiling which allows gradual illumination as the sun rises. Communication with the property manager was great and issues were resolved quickly. The only downside as others have mentioned is that the fridge is an under-counter bar fridge - so need to buy smaller size perishables to fit in. Kitchen has a stove/oven as well as microwave which allows a variety of cooking options. I stayed for 2 weeks as a solo traveler in December 2024 and hope to return in summer to enjoy the beach/lagoon more than was possible during my "work trip".

Seaside Studio

Loved the studio. It’s been slightly updated from the online pictures and we liked the new arrangement. We spent most mornings sipping coffee in the garden and most afternoon reading there as well; nice shady spot. The location was great for us. We hiked at Torrey Pines each day and then grabbed a meal down the street. Didn’t drive much. Hope to come back soon.

In town for wedding weekend

Perfect studio for a couple staying for a few days. Great locations to a strip of restaurants, close to del mar. Not far from La Jolla or central San Diego. Just as listed. Backyard area is a great bonus.

Del Mar beach cottage

Overall we thought the beach cottage was cute and as described in the listing. The check-in process and property manager were great. It was my fault that I did not notice their was no washer and dryer. While there was a lot of activity (walkers, cars, etc.) in the area, the cottage was quiet. We did have an incident the last night there when our dog growled and the motion lights came on and then our dog growled again. When we looked outside we saw nothing, but then the door closed to the backyard area. This is unpreventable, but it was outstanding that the property had motion lights at 3 places to help with uninvited "guests." Overall, a great location and parking was not that difficult to find. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Great place to stay in Del Mar/La Jolla Cove

The property was just as described. The unit was very clean, well appointed and the equivalent of a luxury hotel in my opinion. My only gripes are with the street parking (or lack of it) and the size of the bathroom. The shower and toilet are very close together, and the shower is not ideal for a larger person. The communication with the property manager felt very impersonal, which I'm not accustomed to. Most communication was done in email, outside of the VRBO app and was initially confusing.

Great location except for parking

We loved the location near the amazing Torrey Pines State Beach and the village of Del Mar. The unit was remodeled and nicely appointed. It had a full size stove but we were a little disappointed to find only a small hotel sized refrigerator which froze anything pushed to the back of it (difficult for longer stays). The floors need a deep cleaning, bathroom is updated but a “large” person would have a rough time moving around in there. Management company was quick to respond to some internet issues. Beware of parking on the narrow street, our driver side mirror was side-swiped (cost us nearly $600 to repair, no response from management company and we purchased the rental insurance). The driveway to the attached house was available but we were not offered use of it. I would not stay here again because of the parking situation.

Cozy cottage

I'm a San Diego native & was pleasantly surprised with this rental since moving out of state. The location was a DREAM! Perfect distance to downtown or North County. Walking distance (literally a stone's throw) from a really great coffee shop overlooking Torrey Pines Preserve, mini-market, Mexican, Italian and a few more as well as beach and trail walking access. Would definitely stay here again. Fully stocked cottage with anything you'd need for your getaway!! Only 10 mins from downtown Del Mar and the dog beach which was also a huge plus with my 2 dogs.

Del Mar Getaway

Positives--Location is excellent and very quiet as well. It is close to the beach, a few restaurants and a small grocery store. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The white towels are new and luxurious. There is a wonderful mini gas stove and a hood fan tucked into a small recessed niche that is a treat to cook on. The large skylight is a wonderful addition allowing filtered sunlight to flood the interior space. Negatives--Parking is difficult on the weekends with an overflow of beach goers. The toilet is squeezed into the bathroom with very little foot space for a tall person. Overall--We liked this rental a lot and will try to stay there on future trips

adorable cottage

This property was adorable! Good quality sheets, towels, dishes, glasses. The outdoor space was intimate and beautiful with flowers and comfy chairs. Within walking distance from excellent restaurants and the beach! We walked to the beach every day. There are excellent hiking trails with ocean vista views in the preserve across the street. Would love to come back to this property in the future.

Awesome location but slightly disappointed

Neighborhood and location were very good. Access to the studio was easygoing. The place was really cute and somewhat comfortable for my husband and I and our little fur baby. Everything was clean except the floor felt sticky. The adorable courtyard needed some upkeep especially after a rainy winter. The landscape lights, fire pit also did not work. I spoke with the property manager after we checked out and she said she would have fixed the problems if I would have called and I was sorry I didn’t. But all those issues were not my fault. They should have been taken care of before we or any other person check in.

Amazing little place

We absolutely loved the property. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. Although this is only a studio, it was very well planned put. It had a kitchen with coffee, refrigerator, and sink, a nice little bathroom with shower, a couch for the child to watch TV on downtime, and a super comfy bed. The kitchen had all necessary things (bowls, silverware, cups, glasses, a set of knives a coffeemaker, etc.). The bathroom was likewise stocked with essentials, including a hair dryer and a flat iron. We loved the little garden!! It has a BBQ and a fireplace. Street parking was ample and, for the most part, we were able to park right by the gate. The check-in process was simple. There are restaurants within walking distance (less than 5 mins) and beach access within about 8-10 minute walk. We loved Aqua Mare and went there nearly every night because my daughter loved the frutti di mare pasta and had it every night. The coffee place on that same street was really good. There is also NY-style pizza next to the coffee place, but we did not try it. Trips to San Diego Zoo, Safari, and SeaWorld were all 20-30 minutes long, which was fine with us. Overall, this property allowed us to have the most pleasant experience visiting CA!!!

Happy stay

For us two plus our red heeler this place was perfect. Ruby loved the little garden, especially as we enjoyed our sunny lunch. The bed was fabulous, the kitchen small but functional. Shower and toilet are a tight fit, maybe challenging for those with disabilities. The neighborhood is very quiet at night and nice for walking. Beach access would have been easy but no dogs allowed. Dogs are welcome on the Del Mar beach, though some areas seasonally limited. We’d happily return!

Cute studio in Del Mar

The property description is very accurate. Comfortable and convenient to Torrey Pines Preserve. Restaurants within easy walking distance. As others noted, bathroom/shower is small but functional. This is managed by a property management company so there were confusing communications before check-in which seemed designed for renters of large fancy houses instead of for this small studio. Nice private yard for morning coffee with bird song accompaniment.

The Seashore Studio was nice. It is small, but well laid out, and the little yard increases the overall space. The kitchen has everything you need. The BBQ is a plus. We would happily stay there again.
