The cabin was perfect for what we needed! It was clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. The coffee station and snack basket were a much-appreciated touch. It was a great, cozy place to come back to after long days of hiking, and it was nice to have found a pet-friendly place to stay! The host was very friendly, accommodating, and thorough with directions and information. Overall a great stay!

Comfortable, nicely stocked with amenities, clean and quiet. The setting for the cabin was pleasant and peaceful. We tryto leave properties as clean as we find them but I appreciated there wasn’t a long list of rules for use and departure. I’d look to rent again when we visit southern Illinois.

Cabin was super clean and very cozy. The host had everything ready and a sweet goody basket. Great stay and will seek accomodations at the cabins again next year.

Quiet relaxing escape with snacks, Internet, TV, n everything needed for a stay.

Everything was very clean and the host was very kind and friendly. We really in joyed our stay, I did some hunting and had a little luck got an 8 point and a doe. The wife and i visited some wineries and road around looking at the beautiful scenery. Ron & Margaret

The cabin was clean, in a beautiful location, and made a great home base for exploring Shawnee National Forest. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the air conditioning wasn’t working, and the cabin became extremely hot. We had planned to cook and enjoy our first evening at the cabin, but it was too uncomfortable to stay inside. Since we had our dog with us, our dining options were also very limited, so we couldn’t simply go enjoy a nice restaurant while waiting for the issue to be resolved. To the host’s credit, they responded quickly and had the A/C repaired before bedtime, so the rest of our stay was comfortable. We appreciated their prompt response, but it was still disappointing to lose our first evening and have to change our plans. Overall, the cabin and location were great, and hopefully this was just a one-time maintenance issue.

Quiet, little cabin close to the wine trail. The fireplace was nice and gave the cabin a cozy feel.

Anniversary trip

Great one bedroom cabin that was functional and most importantly clean! Had a great time visiting the hiking trails and wineries. Everything was close which made it a relaxing trip.

4 day stay

The location was good and I like to bow hunt and they have good deer hunting in the area. My wife enjoyed her stay also, we went to a winery just a few miles away and enjoyed that also. We plan on going again next year.

Cabin # 5 is awesome. We stayed 3 nights ..cooked steaks and burgers on the grill and had a couple of camp fires in the back. The place is clean and had everything we needed. We opened the blinds and let in sunshine all day..the price is right and the owners care about that place. I love it!!!

Cabin in the woods close to SIU.

We wanted someplace close to SIU while we visited our daughter, but it was also close to great hiking at Giant City and other little towns with lots to do.
