Welcome to Sycamore! This newly refinished and decorated ranch home provides you with all the comforts you need. The streamside location (that's Mill Creek, one of the finest trout streams in PA) with private back yard space lets you stretch out and release a little before you go to town! You'll find easy parking and a few steps to the MAIN/BACK/REAR entrance. The rarely used front entrance has 3 steps and can only be open from the inside. You will see as you pull in that the back yard and landscaping are a work in progress! Please don't get your shoes muddy, there is still plenty of space to roam, and I am hoping to create a butterfly and pollinator garden! I have provided a fire ring for your use, however the wood is hit or miss on site. Sheetz sells it in bundles!
If you are looking at this listing, you probably already know a few things about Ligonier, and now you'll have found the perfect spot to enjoy all it has to offer!

Very Charming Cozy Home

Stayed here for the weekend while in town for a wedding. Very nice, cozy and clean home. Rick was a great host and obviously takes pride of the home and property. We would highly recommend staying here.

Picture Perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Sycamore. It’s a charming and cozy home located just minutes from Ligonier’s town square. Everything was picture perfect including a well stocked kitchen. Rick was quick to respond to all messages and went above and beyond to help us with a last minute special request. We look forward to staying again in the future.

My favorite house

This was our second trip to this VRBO to visit family in Greensburg. I absolutely love the layout of this home and you get a lot for your money. Not a whole lot to do in the immediate area, but that’s why we love it. We plan to be back in the spring. Thank you Rick! ♥️

Overnight Stay

We loved this property. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 couples). Very comfortable, cozy and quaint. The kitchen had everything you need, the outside area was great and the location can’t be beat. Rick was great to deal with very responsive & accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Little Getaway!

Perfect little house in the woods! Attention to detail was a plus, our hosts truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable! We were visiting Family in the area and I stayed here with my adult son and his fiancée. The house was very clean and beds were comfy to sleep in. It was the perfect place to relax and have alone time after spending long days running around with relatives!

2nd Stay - Still Great!!

This is my 2nd time staying at this property and it is still one of the best VRBO homes I have rented! There were some yard improvements since I was here in July 2023 and everything is looking great. The home is immaculate, has everything you may need and is just a lovely home to stay in - I have family in the area and this is a perfect property for me to come visit them. Really close to so many things to do, easy to get to and find, check in is very easy and Rick is very accessible if you need anything or have any questions or issues. Definitely will be coming back in the future!

Charming. Well furnished updated kitchen. Very clean. Beds were excellent. Back porch provided additional space for morning coffee and evening drinks. Vwery easy communication with the owner. We'll be back here next summer.

Wonderful in ligonier

If looking for a beautiful home away this is a must stay. My girls rode electric scooters in driveway. I enjoyed the bunnies and deer on property. Safe neighborhood. Short drive to ligonier for food, ice cream and bowling or spending the evening in and grilling.

A real gem!

The house was exactly as described. Very cozy and close to Ligonier. The host provided everything we needed for morning coffee and a few sweet treats. We will definitely recommend to friends and stay again when in the area.

Sycamore retreat

My husband and I booked the Sycamore in order to visit family in the area. The house was incredibly clean and well-appointed. It’s the perfect mix of new upgrades and old house charm. Very quiet and peaceful. It’s a long ride from upstate NY, but we are already looking forward to our next trip in warmer weather. Thank you, Rick!

Excellent stay in Ligonier

I’ve stayed in many a VRBO / "other short stay company whose name is blocked from appearing here". Sycamore is far and away the nicest, most complete and best equipped I have experienced. Highly recommend the hosts - they have thought of everything and are a pleasure to communicate with.

A VRBO Gem in Ligonier, PA

This was my first time renting a VRBO, and I don’t think I could find a better rental. I’m batting a thousand on the first at bat, and we’ll be back to stay here again. The house is picture perfect adorable, updated with modern amenities, and so thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. It’s clear the owners view their property through the eyes of the guests. The kitchen and bath are updated so nicely, the beds are comfortable, and the living room is spacious for our family of four to gather. But the back porch is sublime. I loved taking morning coffee from the kitchen Keurig machine and sit there in the mornings and relax. Easy check-in, and we were greeted with a home baked treat on the kitchen island. It felt like home from the start. This property is conveniently located to everything in and around Ligonier, by car. I highly recommend it.

Perfect spot

This was a stop over Enroute to the Finger Lakes and in retrospect we wish we had spent a good few more days right here! So serene,,, easy in and out,, very private,,, great communication and we have fallen in Love with the area ,, Would def stay again!! Golfing holiday

Family Reunion

Sycamore was just as advertised and even more amazing in person! Decorated beautifully, extremely clean and well kept, so many personal touches and extras for visitors, including a sweet treat which was so good! Location is perfect for getting to Ligonier, Latrobe, Derry and Greensburg. Close to anything you may need store-wise, but so quiet and serene sitting out on the back porch. I definitely will be returning - one of the best VRBO properties I have rented by far! Thank you, Rick, for being such a great host! Can't wait to return!

Best place ever

Stayed a couple nights over July 4 holiday. The home suited our needs well. Decorated nicely, had everything we could need. Very comfortable and good location in Westmoreland county. Hosts are very responsive to questions. We have stayed in a few places from Pa to Ohio and this place was by far the best rental home we have stayed in so far.

Rick and Jackie are longtime residents of Ligonier. We have been local property owners for years, but this is our first jump into the vacation rental market. We are looking forward to hosting you for a stay in our little piece of heaven.

I have taken much pride in the remodeling of this little ranch that I have owned for more than 10 years. Now, every inch on the inside is fresh and sound. The grounds outside are still a work in progress, but will be worth a second visit!

The nice thing about the property is the acclaimed fishing stream, Mill Run, that splits the property in half! It provides for interesting birdwatching, and other critters!
