We would, however, like to clarify several points for future guests. The doors are not jammed. They are hurricane-rated doors that require a specific procedure to properly lock and secure them. Because they operate differently from a standard residential door, our local host personally demonstrates the locking procedure at check-in to ensure guests can safely and securely use them throughout their stay. Coordinating an arrival time allows us to provide this assistance. Confirming that the number of guests matches the reservation is also a standard part of managing the property and ensuring compliance with the occupancy booked. We apologize that the propane grill was not functioning properly during your stay. When you notified us, we responded by providing charcoal and lighter fluid so the second grill could be used. We understand this was inconvenient, particularly given your plans to celebrate your husband’s birthday. We also appreciate the feedback regarding the cookware and have reviewed the kitchen inventory to ensure the home is appropriately stocked. The comments regarding the grills, rugs, grounds, and overall condition of the property have also been shared with our cleaning and maintenance teams for review and attention. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property, and we take any violation of that policy seriously.
