The Palms at Maravilla-Open Balcony, Dine Outside!
Renewed in the fall of 2022 - Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place. The Palms at Maravilla is a 1 bedroom/1 bath condo welcoming up to 6 guests and ready for you to enjoy with everything you need at your fingertips. Comfortable bedding, a fully stocked kitchen for those who wish to prepare their own meals - from cookware to dishes, silverware to glassware - and small countertop appliances. Of course full range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator freezer as well.
You'll likely spend most of your time out doors - so we've tried to make that as comfortable as possible, as well with seating for 6 whether enjoying coffee or having your meals outside where a full sized glass table is located. From here you can see the gulf of Mexico as well as the lush tropical grounds and pools of the west side of this complex. The Maravilla has 3 pools, a hot tub, a dog park, and beautiful grounds. There's also a fitness room, and outdoor games available like cornhole, hopscotch, ping pong and a volleyball net. Surrounding the gated pool areas you'll find picnic tables and grills for guest use (bring your favorite charcoal and lighter fluid and please ensure you've extinguished the flames and cleaned for the next guests, or if they're waiting to use a grill - offer them yours while the coals are still hot.
The Maravilla complex charges a resort/parking/amenities fee of $10 per vehicle per night for each stay. This is paid directly at the complex - not through or by us. If you happen to arrive after the complex office has closed - you may visit the office the next morning when they open to pay the fee and obtain your wristbands that identify you as registered guests at the complex. An after hours courtesy officer may leave a "love note" on your vehicle if they see it without a permit just as a gentle reminder to visit the office the next morning.
We charge a non refundable $75 fee for approved dogs. We will ask you to send a picture of the dog to us before approving it. Due to insurance regulations of the owner, and no matter how cute they are, we are unable to approve full bred or mutts containing the blood line of any animal or breed identified as dangerous or vicious including pit bull, rotweiler, chow, shephard or doberman.
We are pleased to provide starter supplies of toiletries, paper products, dish cleaning options and coffee. These may not last your group the duration of your stay (then again they might) but more to get you settled and find the best shopping option for your group after making your lists and menus.
The Maravilla is a complex of 164 privately owned condos. Each owner selects their own decor and the items inside their condos. The complex' amenities - pools, hot tub, fitness center, parking, elevators, etc. are managed by the complex management.
There is currently construction going on in one building of the complex. This does not affect the condo you are reserving from us or any of the amities of the complex.
After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.
Galveston is a barrier island in Texas located on the Gulf of Mexico. From time to time we have unexpected rain, thunderstorms, and sometimes we do have tropical storms and hurricanes. From time to time there may be brief interruptions in electricity and WiFi services due to weather. You should consider purchasing trip interruption or cancelation protection through the platforms or another source. We are unable to guarantee sunny days, mosquito free nights and perfect weather, nor do we refund for these possibilities. We issue refunds in the event of mandatory evacuations issued by a governmental agency, or for the property being unavailable due to damages and extended power outages.
For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made. Should there be damages and they exceed $300 to repair or replace, you will be notified and asked to make arrangements to compensate for those items.

The east pool of the Maravilla will be closed for repairs/construction from August 18, 2025 through approximately Thanksgiving. The two pools on the west side of the complex and the hot tub there will remain open during this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding that this is 100% out of the control of My Galveston Getaway and the owners of each condominium for whom we manage.
For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made. My Galveston Getaway cancellation policy: If your cancelation is received more than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, there is a $100 cancelation fee, the remainder is refundable. If your reservation is cancelled 14-30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date there is a $100 cancelation fee, 50% of the remainder is refundable. If your cancelation is made between arrival and 13 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, there will be no refund issued.
