Very quiet and peaceful place, the night sky’s feel endless and the days pass peacefully. Close to beaches and very kid/pet friendly.

Quiet and peaceful place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The host is very helpful and on top of all information you need to know. Plenty of room to enjoy inside and outside. Close to Lake Huron to be able to enjoy the beach and water. Shopping is nearby both for groceries and keepsakes from the area.

loved the peaceful location. The sunsets sunrise deer eagles & hummingbirds all of this made for a perfect getaway.

Great location close to Lake Huron

We had enough room for 3 boats/trailers during our time/stay for our fishing tournament. Great private location.

Awesome place for families

The property was awesome and it comes stocked with everything you could possibly need. Check in and out was super easy and communicating with the host was fantastic. We have young kids and this place was perfect. We definitely will book again and are so grateful for this place!

Short vacay

Beautiful home, the owner absolutely easy to communicate with. Oscoda Beach Park is where we spent most of our time.

Peaceful and great to relax!

The home was very clean! Great place to relax and enjoy watching deer and turkeys. Both morning and night we watched the fawns and doe. The owner has excellent communication and great responses if you have questions. Excellent weekend!!!!

Secluded and Cozy

Our stay was amazing! The home was perfect for our family and our dog! Very clean with a fun beach theme! Plenty of trails to hike! Super relaxing soaking bathtub. Was kid friendly for our 1 year old son! No complaints at all! We had a blast. So many attractions near by. The host was amazing and check in super simple!

It was such a joy to host Ashley and her family… She kept me updated on there activities and sent me pictures of her baby and the dog. They left my house spotless. If I could rate her a 10 I would.

Loved the peaceful quiet country setting! Trails, bonfires, relaxing deck, wildlife. It felt remote yet was easy to get to beach, towns, restaurants, shopping and more. The owner was very easy to communicate with, she was very responsive. She provided recommendations for great places to eat and things to do. The home had really high rating and that's what drew us into booking it, along with the remote country setting. However, the home had a very strong musty smell (we had 10 fans/vents going throughout our 3 night stay and the smell improved slightly by the time we left but it was still present...we suspect mold/mildew possibly from a humid summer and home not being consistently temperature controlled? That's just a guess. Thermostat showed high humidity when we first arrived. Lots of cobwebs, spider webs, abundance of dead and alive bugs, unmowed grass, broken toilet seat. We did communicate all of this with the owner and she was very responsive and apologetic, thus why we gave a 3 instead of a 2 rating. She gave us a cleaning fee refund and she informed us an inspector was coming after our stay to identify the unknown musty odor (we elected to stay because the setting was just what we were looking for...private and remote ... and we couldn't find another like it on short notice.) If clean and bad odor gone, it would have gotten 5 stars. In its current state, it is not worth what we paid. But cool location!

Was definitely not a good fit. Property is in the woods as described. There will be wildlife. The house was cleaned thoroughly the day before as a guest checked out the day before that and had no complaints… I had a crew come in after the guest left and they found no evidence of mildew or mold, smell. They cleaned and removed everything that was left by the guest, I refunded their cleaning fee. I offered them to cancel and find another place which there were plenty of. Ioffered to have someone come over and check it out they decided to stay. I even refunded the cleaning fee. I feel it just wasn’t a good fit. The guest was very nice. I gave her information things to do in places to go, but they just were not pleased with the house

Awesome!

Carol was a great hostess. Place was very clean. Very private & secluded. Close to state park & Lake Huron swimming. Park with playing equipment for 9 year old granddaughter @ park. Plenty of towels and linen. Full kitchen for cooking. We did not use Wi-Fi or tv but they were available. We would go back. Very beautiful. Jill

Perfect Hideaway Spot For Family or Solo Trips

First off Carol was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING right from the start. Extremely communicative through the booking, during our stay and after our stay. She knew I was bringing my two young children (7 & 2) for our annual vacation and provided so many ideas and fun things to do as I am not from the area. The home and property were exactly as listed, and we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a quiet place to get away from all the hustle and noise, this is it. You're far enough away to enjoy the stars without light pollution but close enough to beaches, ice cream shops, groceries and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and I made a lot of memories with my littles. We will be booking this lovely place again!

Such a wonderful guest I loved hosting Shay and her children. She sent me pictures it was fun seeing them have a great time. I would welcome her back anytime. She left my place perfect. Can’t wait till she comes back again

Beautiful location, house needs a little TLC

My husband and I were in town visiting family in Oscoda with our dog Tonka and chose this cabin for its beautiful and peaceful location away from the hustle of town in the busy summer months. The location is beautiful and serene, we saw many deer and heard an owl hooting one evening. While tucked away, it was close to the beaches in Greenbush and Harrisville and a short 15-20 minute drive to see our family in Oscoda. While the location was ideal, the property was in need of some cleanup and updates. The deck that wrapped the property was in need of another coat of paint and a few boards need to be replaced. A previous visitor must have left a window ajar and there were some bugs and a musty smells inside. Despite these issues, Carol was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout our stay. She shifted plans to come to the property immediately after we left to address these issues and I feel confident repairs will be made soon.

Yes, Colleen was right. We had a lot of rain and the runoff cause the end of the deck to become soft. I was unaware. I’m grateful for Colleen to bring this to my attention. I went up the next day and completely replace the deck that week… And filled in the space by the air conditioner. I am so sorry that she experienced this. It is my goal is for everyone to have a great time and for good reviews. I hope she will give us another chance in the future… She was very kind and I enjoyed hosting her.
