Run Down

VERY RUN DOWN!!! Room was nothing like the pictures and was dirty. The floor of room was covered in dirt I took a paper towel and wipes up and it was black!!! Stains on bedding. - Would not stay here again.

Rooms are over priced

This is an old hotel/motel and the room furnishings, bathrooms and paint show it. We had a door from our room to the one beside us. It was a very thin door and the walls were also very thin, allowing us to hear conversations very clearly from the room next to us. The voices were not muffled at all. The pool is very nice with adequate chairs and umbrellas. There are lots of servers checking if you want drinks. Towels were nice, looked new. At the beach, the beach chairs that were complementary were also good but note that the umbrellas need to be rented. There is not a coffee machine in the room unless you request it. It is a Lazzo brand which takes a specific size pod (not Kuerig). We were told a coffee maker would be available for us when we arrived. But there wasn't one in the room. We ended up requesting it three times, with several hours between each request before it was delivered. (It did make nice coffee in the morning for us, though!) The beach was beautiful and very clean. We were told that no personal coolers were allowed on the beach in St. Petersburg but we understand that this is a city law resulting from previous abuse of alcohol. The Postcard Inn is a resort and that includes a $45 resort fee. For $260 for one night's stay, I would not consider it a place to return to unless there is a discount. We've stayed at about a half dozen other accommodations right on the Gulf within 20 miles, and this one we felt provided the least value.
