Robin's Nest is a guest house in a quiet residential neighborhood that overlooks the historic town of Mariposa. The guest house has a private entrance, is comfortably furnished and accommodates two people. It offers a full bath, kitchenette, leisure and dining area with an outdoor patio access to a beautifully landscaped yard. It is a perfect getaway or private retreat in the Sierra Foothills. Driving distance to Robin's Nest is 3 minutes from downtown Mariposa. Private parking is available.

My husband and I loved staying at this lovely cottage very much. Perfect for a relaxing get away or vacation. Very quiet and peaceful. We look forward to staying here again soon.

Perfect Little Hideaway in Mariposa

Absolutely a 5 star experience. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just outside of downtown Mariposa and perfectly poised for launching day trips to Yosemite. The gracious, friendly hosts are lifelong locals who are glad to make suggestions for dining, shopping and exploring the area including Yosemite. The unit is quiet and spotlessly clean and is supplied with linens, a comfortable bed, coffee maker, microwave and hot plate and full size fridge. Bright and airy with lovely views out to the pool and garden, it's really the perfect little spot to recharge at the end of a day of sighteeing or begin the day with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

Love these folks

The coziest home away from home near Yosemite. Hosts Robn and Trace are really great people and their recommendations and knowledge about hikes in the area is a huge plus. There are so many sweet, thoughtful touches in the guest house that make it the perfect place to stay. This was our second time visiting and we can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful private place with great hosts

We had a great stay at Robin’s Nest. The place was very clean and spacious for our two nights. Trace and Robn were hospitable and provided plentiful suggestions for visiting Yosemite. The hosts were available when we needed them, and they gave us space when necessary. We would love to stay here again!

First time in Mariposa

We really enjoyed our stay at Robin's Nest. The place was very clean and very cozy. All of the amenities were there, just as stated online. And the pictures you see online are what you see in person. But to be honest, it's way better in person. We had no issues with our stay. I have the feeling we'll be back!

Yosemite Vacation

My husband and I stayed here for five nights as our home base for our first trip to Yosemite National Park and we had a fantastic time! Robn and Trace are great hosts and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Robin and Trace made me feel so welcome and safe… being a solo traveler, that was important. It’s about an hour drive into Yosemite from here but it’s a beautiful drive so it goes fast. Wildlife can be seen around the property and you just feel miles and miles away from the BUSY CITIES AND EVERYDAY LIFE. The property is very clean and the pool was a huge bonus. The owners were available when I needed them and left me alone otherwise. I recommend visiting Mariposa Coffee and having dinner at Fredericks of Savoury’s. What a lovely find Robin’s Nest was and is.

Beautiful home

We were there to hike Yosemite, and Robn’s home was the perfect place to come back to after a long day. The property is beautiful, hosts are welcoming and guided us on dynamite trails.

Best choice for a stopover!

Very cozy apartments! Every detail has been thought out for your comfortable stay. And the owners are the most incredibly nice people I have ever met in my life! Highly recommend!

Yosemite Haven

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Yosemite National Park. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. This property is just so charming. The hosts are so very nice and welcoming and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. After hiking in Yosemite, we were able to enjoy the pool in their garden area which they are so generous to share with their guests. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others!

Stay Here! Stay Here! Stay Here!

This was an absolutely perfect place to stay. It looks good online and it comes to life when you walk through the gate to the back yard where the entrance to your cottage is. The cottage is spotless and loveley, the couch and the bed are incredibly comfortable, and the sheets are dreamy soft. There is plenty of privacy and so many places to sit and drink coffee or eat outside. The gardens are beautiful and it so peaceful and quiet. You do get use the pool anytime if you'd like! The hosts are so kind and generous and getting to meet them and visit with them was a huge surprise bonus for our trip. They were also so helpful with regards to planning pur time on Yosemite. While we used the Robin's Nest as iur homebase for multiple day trips to Yosemite, we really enjoyed the town of Mariposa as well. Lots of great little local shops and some delicious food in unique restaurants. Stay Here!

Home Away from Home

Robin's Nest was the perfect place to stay. The cottage is clean, cozy, and comfortable. Everything I needed was at my fingertips and the hosts are amazing! I enjoyed exploring Mariposa and the tips on Yosemite were the best. I highly recommend a stay at Robin's nest and hope I can someday return!

Wonderful location . Ease to Yosemite was quintessential. Best part of the stay were our hosts. Couldn’t ask for more welcoming, friendly hosts that go above and beyond to ensure your experience is the best it possibly can ! Trace was integral in info about Yosemite. Great Little Spot to Stay While Visiting Yosemite

My spouse and I stayed here during our long weekend exploring Yosemite. It had everything we needed to make simple meals and relax after a long day of activities. The hosts were welcoming, kind, and very responsive. They provided a wealth of information about the park that was super useful. We recommend if you're visiting the area!

Anfitrión: Robn and Trace DeSandres

Trace, my husband was born in Yosemite Valley and raised just outside the Park in El Portal. He was a back-country ranger for eleven seasons and retired in 2020 after teaching for 34 years. Trace is proud to say he has hiked the majority of the trails in the Park and would love to share suggestions on places to hike and explore making your stay even more enjoyable. Robn grew up in Mariposa and is also a retired educator. A love of gardening and recently becoming a Master Gardener has kept Robn busy working in her yard and garden. She also loves to bake and looks forward to spending time doing lots and lots of reading. It brings us an enormous about of pleasure to share our love of the Sierra Foothills and Yosemite with our guests.
