Great location - a short drive from downtown Mariposa and easy access to HWY 140 into Yosemite. Cute "bear den" with surprising perks - plenty of coffee choices, an ice maker in the freezer, device charging ports on the lamps, and candy treats. Property was well maintained. Quiet! Comfy beds and furniture (inside and out) with super soft extra blankets. Fully stocked kitchen. Perfect for four people. Turkeys and mule deer right outside the window. Great jumping-off spot into Yosemite. No "stay" instructions or guest book, but communication with owner/manager was all we needed. We will stay here again when in town!

Well furnished. Clean. Up to date. All needed kitchen supplies- spices, sugar, olive oil, coffee. Good communication with host. Overall good value.

We enjoyed our stay. We really liked Irene’s bear theme. The description on VRBO was accurate and it was easy to find. It was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this place to others.

Yosemite Stay

It was so nice and clean! Parking was very easy and felt safe. Quiet area and a nice drive into the park. I would recommend to anyone looking for something a little outside the park that is comfortable with everything you need! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Stay at Bear creek

Incredible value for such a great place in a great location. The apartment is warm and cozy and well stocked with toiletries and snacks and coffee. Irene, the owner is very helpful and kind. Will definitely come back here soon!

Went without a single issue

Stayed two days at the property. Was clean organized and beautiful. I liked how everything was decorated with bear theme. Something to note: There is ac and fans at the property but no heating (but also we did not need it as it was summer)

Nice place

Apartment was just as described. We were only there 12 hours due to a busy vacation schedule. Slept like a rock and recharged.

No better place to spend our thanksgiving!

I am so glad we picked here to stay for our thanksgiving getaway. It was perfect. And the owner went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. She even had snacks, a filled cookie jar, water, and a Keurig with a variety of coffees. We would stay here again in a second. And bonus that it was an easy drive to Yosemite. Loved loved loved this place

Excellent apartment with everything you need in a beautiful location.

I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with my family and first of all, the rates were comparable to a nearby 1-room hotel but you get so much more here. We found everything we needed for breakfast— coffee, tea , hot chocolate and all the cooking utensils for making a delicious breakfast. The rooms were spacious and the beds incredibly comfortable. The checkout and checkin instructions were very clear and there was ample parking. The area is very quiet and wooded. We will definitely book here again for our next visit to Mariposa.

Cozy apartment

This property felt like home. Clean, cute Bear decor. Lots of extras, k-cups, foil, paper towels, popcorn, filtered water, sweet little town. Only one night we had some children upstairs that were loud very early in the morning. Six deer met us at the end of the street. I would stay here again.

I stayed at the bear retreat with my husband and daughter. This was my first time I always stayed at a hotel. I couldn't believe how nice it was furnished, from bedding to a complete kitchen. Irene was wonderful I know I will stay here again. I loved the extra touch Irene supplied the nuts and candy even cookies.

Appartment in driving distance of Yosemite National Park

Clean appartment A/C is very loud. Kitchen is equipped with the essentials but could need a couple of cutting boards.
