1940's era restored farmhand/cowboy bunkhouse. Its rustic exterior was retained to exemplify its age and origins, but the inside has been updated and remodeled for your comfort. One bedroom, bath, living room w/ kitchenette. Be advised that the all-original ceiling logs have a clearance (head room) of 6'-5", and are spaced every 30", so if you are taller than 6'-4" this would be uncomfortable for you.

The cabin is located on our small farm in the south end of Henrieville valley. The farm originally belonged to my great-grandfather Harry Quilter, (hence the name Quilter Cabin) and changed hands several times over the years, until finally I was able to pick up this portion of the original farm. The previous owners of my property lived in this 385 square foot cabin for seven years while building their strawbale homestead next door, where the property manager (our son) now lives.

The cabin is quiet - this is important to us. The bed was good for our backs. Cabin is so clean and electric heaters kept us warm. We were able to find the property in the dark because the host sent us detailed instructions on how to find the property. Thanks for a great stay. :)

Perfectly remote yet close enough to Bryce Canyon at the same time The cabin was a fantastic base camp for our daily adventures. Well laid out and furnished. We would come home at the end of the day and cook supper, relax and sleep in this cosy nest, and would wake up to a beautiful view of fields and mountains, One of the highlights of our trip! Many thanks!

Down on the farm

Ok this place is amazing. I almost stayed one more night but I really wanted a night under the stars camping! I will be returning! The house is the cleanest and cutest property I’ve ever stayed at. It’s WELL worth the money. My only regret is not staying there longer!!The bed was comfy, shower was hot, and the setting was perfect. This felt very authentic and like you were in the heart of a piece of history. I can’t wait to return!

Cozy, quaint & lovely

The bunkhouse was the perfect slice of staying in a quieter part of southern Utah - the renovation of this historic building was well done, and arriving after dusk to the soft glow of the warmed-up kitchen and bedroom was the perfect end to the day. Bed was comfortable, TV/technology great, functional kitchenette. Lots of nice little touches - it was a great place to stay for exploring Bryce/Grand Staircase and heartily recommend it! Thanks Milt & Brenda for hosting me

Perfect Hide Away!

Just the best option for a cozy, warm, cute, and "close to everything" stay. We stayed in Nov, it was cold outside but warm in the cabin. Everything one needs is there. Gorgeous views, great walking trails, and quiet. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Stay at the Cowboy Cabin

Overall, I had a great stay. The cabin was isolated, but the inside was beautiful and clean. I have no complaints, it was an easy check in and was a little hard to find, but I got clear instructions to help me find my way.

Very nice!

This was a lovely little cabin with great views and even better sunsets. The location was a great base for doing some hiking in Bryce and Escalante NM, and is even within range of day trips to Capitol Reef via the beautiful route 12. Kitchen was well stocked and we had no issues during our time there. Thanks!

Country Tranquility with Stunning Views

We live in a resort town, so wanted to be away from tourist crowds. This was perfect and just a short drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. Charming property! Highly recommended for peace and quiet!

A disaster, for which I received a full refund.

As I previously reported, this place was a disaster. We turned around and did not stay there when we saw how bad it was. I do not understand how VRBO can present a property like this. Someone needs to go there and inspect it. It does not meet VRBO standards which I am used to.

Unique stay

They did a wonderful job fixing up this “cowboy cabin.” We enjoyed staying there. It did not have its issues however. The area surrounding the cabin had piles of junk everywhere! But the view from the back porch was gorgeous. It could use a sign at the end of the road as it’s very hard to find. Customers should remember to screen shot directions and the door code as there is NO cell service there!

Perfect Stay

We had the perfect stay in this quiet remote cabin. Everything about this was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for anything to be more perfect. Milton was gracious and helpful. I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone.

A Hidden Gem

This was an excellent home base for exploring Bryce Canyon NP for several days! It's very private, is well-appointed, is cozy, has great evening views off of the back porch, and was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Adorable Cozy Cabin

Absolutely loved this 1 bedroom 1 bath cabin just outside of Henrieville, UT. If you use the WAZE app, recognizes exactly where the property is. But the driving directions were perfect. The view off of the back porch was breath-taking. Highly recommend this property!

Excellent - Clean - Quiet

The drive between Bryce Canyon National park and the rental was lovely every time we drove it, little to no traffic and views to write home about. So glad we stayed at the cozy clean Quilters Cabin.

Beautifully restored Cabin

It is a simple but lovingly restored and maintained cabin. Don't try to cook elaborate meals there, given that the kitchen has a hot plate, mini toaster oven, and microwave, but who cares? It's a good break from cooking much. The owners were very communicative and always responded to questions promptly. I highly recommend this place for a few days stay

Located on a farm in the valley south of Henrieville, the location is secluded, peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views. If you prefer being away from the regular tourist crowd, this place is for you. To the northeast you will see the little town of Henrieville surrounded by white cliffs, with a view of the spectacular pink limestone south face of the Aquarius plateau (first step of the Grand Staircase, nearly 11,000 feet elevation). To the west is the Paunsagunt Plateau (second step of the Grand Staircase, 8,000 to 9,500' elevation) and the pink limestone escarpment famously known as Bryce Canyon National Park. I grew up here and have not found a place on earth I like better.
