Summary:
Recharge and relax in Belmont Shore at our newly remodeled upstairs unit with coastal breezes & gorgeous sunsets. Explore- you'll be steps to the beach, Alamitos Bay, Rosie's Dog Beach, & vibrant 2nd St w/tons of shops & restaurants. Recharge- this is a small, quiet complex of professional adults, an on-site laundry room, +a large patio with BBQ to enjoy the sunsets. We love pets! 10 minutes from downtown Long Beach, or CSULB, with easy access to all freeways to go anywhere in So CA.

The Space:
Very quiet, very spacious and only 2 blocks to the beach & bay! Enjoy the coastal breezes, and dozens of local events every month, or simply relax! Take a quick walk to morning coffee or dinner on 2nd Street.
We provide super fast Wi Fi, plus a desk if you need to work from home.
It has beautiful new hardwood floors throughout, a fully stocked kitchen and high-quality furnishings, linens & appliances. We believe in comfort and convenience for our guests.
The bedroom has a king bed with a generous-sized closet. There is a laundry room right on the premises, plus ample parking around the area.
The large common patio has a full-size barbeque and seating to enjoy the sunsets from.

Guest Access:
Your apartment is upstairs with your own private door code. There is easy access to the common laundry room and the back gate. Enjoy the sunsets on the large patio, which has plenty of tables and chairs, plus a gas BBQ for you to use anytime. You can also rent bikes to ride.

The Neighborhood:
This is a fun beachy neighborhood where you will see everyone walking and exercising, plus many dogs being out and about. You can walk to the beach or the bay, or 2nd Street which has a variety of restaurants and shops... all within 5 to 10 minutes. There is a bike path on the beach of over 6 miles - plus we have bikes you can reserve.
The grocery store is within walking distance, or you can have groceries delivered.
This diverse community has many roots in the arts - there are many annual events along 2nd Street to enjoy.

Getting Around:
Bikes are used a lot; we have some for rent if you need them. Also, easy walks to 2nd St., beach, bay and the grocery store. Uber & Lyft readily available. Bus lines are readily available right on 2nd Street. There is plenty of parking if you have your own car.

Other Things to Note:
This is a small, quiet complex of only 8 units with friendly professional adults, plus several fur babies, too. There is plenty of parking on the street and on the access road right behind the back security gate. There is always an afternoon ocean breeze to enjoy!

Great spot, walk to beach and shops

We very much enjoyed out stay at the Turtle Den! It was clean, spacious, and extremely convenient to the beach, a grocery store, and 2nd Street, which has shops and lots of places to eat. There's also a big grocery, a Whole Foods, and more shopping just a couple of miles down the road at PCH and 2nd.FYI, the building is older, like almost everything in this area, but it's well maintained and we had no problems at all with the unit. The parking surprised me, we paid for the one available spot, but I'm not certain you need to. Granted, we stayed over the Christmas holidays, and in summer it might be different, but there always seemed to be one or two places to park within a block or two of the unit. The bed was comfy, the kitchen well set up, my husband loved having the desk while I chilled on the couch or worked in the bar seating. There were plenty of linens and blankets, spare pillows, and a separate set of beach towels.The only thing I might change, and it's really not a big deal, is that the building is very near to Livingston Drive, which is a bit of a busy street. The drone of traffic quickly faded into the background for us, and didn't keep us awake even though we normally live in the middle of a quiet forest.And I can't overemphasize how good a host Susan was. There was plenty of communication, and she was clear and responsive. Just a great host, and an excellent rental property. We will absolutely consider the property next time we're in Long Beach.

Cute spot in Long Beach

We loved our stay here! Location was great, apartment was clean. We had a small hiccup checking in but the host was quick to get back us and got everything worked out. Would absolutely recommend!

Incredible stay in LB!

Susan and Ted are absolutely wonderful! We’re local to Long Beach, but needed a place to stay for a few weeks while our apartment was being repaired from rain damage, and are so incredibly lucky to have found this listing. It was a perfect fit for us and our cat, with plenty of parking in the neighborhood. It’s just a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of 2nd street, which was perfect because we could also walk down to one of our favorite coffee shops, while maintaining some peace and quiet from the nightlife that pops up on the weekends. The space is incredibly clean, well-stocked, and Susan & Ted were quick to answer any questions or concerns that we had. We’re so grateful to have found them, and absolutely recommend them to anyone who is coming to Long Beach and needs a cozy place to stay by the beach. 🐢
