Wake up to peaceful pond views, sip coffee on the deck, and enjoy the highlight of the home—feeding the turtles right behind the property. Take a close walk to the private beach, relax by the pool (seasonal), play tennis, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy the game room/man cave.

The location is excellent. It is within walking distance of everything you need. The house is starting to show its age and needs some maintenance and a deep clean. It is still a wonderful place to stay. It is across the street from the pool and about a 10 minute stroll to private beach access. I would rent it again.

Absolutely everything you expect and deserve while on vacation. Property was exceptional and walking distance from pool, beach, shopping center and restaurants. Loved our stay and hope to be back.

Our stay was fantastic. The house was perfect for our family and Black Lab and Wendy was an incredible host. She is responsive and always willing to help. When the previous grill broke, she had a brand new one sent to the house and built so we could cook. Bucks Island is an amazing community with a private beach that is walkable but also with an area to park. It was never too busy and we always had a spot. The surrounding area has tons of stores to shop and a Harris Tweeter and Food Lion for easy grocery shopping. Our two weeks flew by and we would 100% come back and stay again.

Overall, great place and great location. The mattress in the first floor master is probably past its life. The turtles were a joy. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping.

The house is beautiful and spacious. Wendy is very easy to communicate with. The location is great. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay to consider staying here.

Spring break in the OBX

Enjoyed our stay! Good location with restaurants and store within walking distance. Nice deck to relax and watch the sunset! Plenty of room.

Family Summer Vacation

The house was beautiful and the family enjoyed the pool and walking to the beach. The location is perfect! We alao enjoyed shopping and go-carting right across the street!

Perfect getaway

Beautiful property in a very nice neighborhood. Owner was quick to respond when we had a question. Close to the beach and shopping! We loved feeding the turtles and it will be something we will always remember!!

Perfect for a big family trip with kids!

The property was perfect for our family trip of 10 (including 4 kids ranging from baby to teen.) Some of the furniture and appliances were a little worn down but the turtles and otters in the back pond made up for it! The location was also great with groceries, restaurants, the beach and community amenities all within a short walk.

Beautiful house

Our stay was great. The house was very well taken care of. The gate code was wrong and led to some delays but we were able to call maintenance and get in. We would stay again.

Great house and beautiful private community!

We loved the house! Very roomy with lovely water feature and TURTLES! We all enjoyed feeding the turtles who come swimming to you as soon as they see you! We enjoying sitting on the deck or in the screened in porch with our coffee each morning! The community is beautiful and peaceful with a private beach. We absolutely loved our visit! It was so hard to leave but we’ll be back!! The owner was super helpful with any questions and had great suggestions! I highly recommend it!

OBX vacation

Overall the property is nice! Cozy and roomy. The turtles in the pond behind the house were very fun! The location can't be beat. It was safe and included use of a community pool and tennis court. Check in was bumpy as we were given the wrong door code. There was no hand soap in the house on arrival, so be ready to bring your own. There were no paper towels or napkins. The kitchen was otherwise fully stocked. Beds were really comfortable.

We had a wonderful week. The host was easy to communicate with during our stay. The house was splendid. Close to the beach, nice easy walk, close to stores and restaurants..... couldn't have asked for a better stay/week.
