Great Experience

Great home for a quick weekend away!

We loved this property for a quick work weekend trip. Love all the extra touches the owners added to make our stay even more comfortable! The beds were all comfy and and it was such a cute, cozy house. We would definitely stay here again if ever visiting again.

Doug and Brenda were great to work with. Very accommodating and thoughtful. The Cottage is accurate to the pictures, what it doesn't show are the little details the hosts have thought of. Shampoo and soap in all the bathrooms. Coffee, snacks, pasta and condiments to use. We felt very welcome in the Cozy Cottage. This is our second stay here and would book again.

We found ourselves in a bad situation because we had booked another property, only to arrive there and find out that someone had already checked in. The other property owner had double booked their property. Frantically, we called Vrbo and the owner of this property managed to get us in despite it being last minute. The owner was extremely attentive to our needs, and the property was fantastic. Possibly the best property that I’ve ever stayed in through Vrbo, and that’s been quite a few.

Destination wedding

We came to Mooresville for a Wedding and the house is located perfectly to the venue. Comfortable for getting ready and relaxing between the weekend events.

We had an incredible stay at Kickback Cottage LKN and couldn’t be happier. From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described (actually even better in person). The host was super responsive and gave us clear instructions for a smooth check-in.The place itself is spotless, bright, and thoughtfully decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and we loved all the little touches like fresh towels, good Wi-Fi, and toiletries. It felt like a true home away from home. The location is fantastic too — We especially appreciated how accurate the listing was with photos and descriptions. No surprises at all. Everything worked perfectly, and If you’re considering this place, book it with confidence — you won’t regret it! We’ll definitely be back on our next visit. Perfect weekend stay

Was the perfect stay for our weekend trip. Kids loved the game room in the garage. Can walk to the Marina. Loved all the included finishing touches. Very cute place. Hosts were very responsive. Easy checkout.

Weekend stay

We were in town for parents weekend at Davidson College and this house was exactly what we needed to make our trip convenient and very comfortable for our two teenage children, the grandparents and our dogs! Loved the backyard and the welcome basket was a very nice touch. We will be back!

Well prepared rental

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. I have rented many homes and this was the best organized of all the houses I have tried. It made the stay very easy and enjoyable. The owners were very easy to communicate with and were very accommodating. I would like to stay here again.

The hosts have done a particularly good job at providing everything a guest might need from both drip and Keurig coffee makers, smart tv's in every bedroom, 4 pillows on every bed, extra bedding for the couch, 2 kayaks, a paddle board, etc. etc.!! There was also much appreciated water in the fridge and lots of snacks set out for our arrival. 5 stars for cleanliness and way more entertainment options than we could even use during our 4 day family reunion make this VRBO top notch!

Family time at LKN

I have never seen a VRBO more prepared for guests! Not only did they leave a thoughtful note and snacks for our group but every drawer and cabinet was thoughtfully stocked with anything we might need to make our stay more enjoyable. The property was SPOTLESS even with them being pet friendly (we have some allergies in our group and no one had any issues)! Doug and Brenda were always quick to respond and our family had the best time!

Short visit

This home was spotless, everything worked, and was amazingly stocked. Nice thoughtful Touches throughout. The coffee bar was my favorite. And the yummy snack basket was first class. Fenced yard was very convenient. And did I mention, it was spotless!

Just what we were looking for!

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing time near the lake. The home was lovely and comfortable. We parked our car on Sunday and didn’t get back in until we left on Wednesday! The location was close enough to stores, breweries and restaurants. The hosts were most helpful and responsive from booking to check out. They even provided a welcome basket which was so thoughtful! We recommend!

Our family & dogs loved Brenda & Doug’s lake house! Upon arrival we were greeted with a beautiful welcome arrangement with snacks, some key essentials to get the week started and a hand written note. Very thoughtful and much appreciated! We enjoyed using the water toys (kayaks & paddle board) and the equipment to get them to the lake made transport very simple! The lake access is super close (2 min walk) which was so convenient. Our 3 night stay couldn’t have been better. Local restaurants were great and we even found a local park to enjoy with our dogs & kids! (Bellingham Park, paved walking paths and playground) If coming back to Lake Norman, we would 100% stay here again. The hosts are super responsive and have thought of everything a family could need.
