Starved Rock Retreat! Hot tub, Game room, King Bed, Pet Friendly!

Welcome to the Starved Rock Retreat! This 4-bedroom, 2-bath home is located on Ottawa's southside. This home is located 8 miles from Starved Rock, 2 miles from downtown Ottawa, and only 2 blocks from Kroger Grocery. Enjoy your day hiking Starved Rock, then come home and relax in the hot tub or with dinner on the back patio. Cap the night off with a family game night around the billiards and ping pong table. Additionally, the game room includes giant connect 4, skee ball, and a 14 games in 1 pacman arcade game.

This ranch house is spacious providing and open concept floor plan and no steps in the home. It offers a full-sized kitchen, with everything needed to cook a family dinner. There is a beautifully remodeled master bathroom off of the master King bedroom, as well as a full bathroom shared between the two other King bedrooms and the dual twin bedroom. Each bedroom offers ample storage, and the master bedroom offers a dedicated workspace for traveling workers. In the living room we offer a full-sized pull-out couch with a 58-inch Roku TV and plenty of games for the kids in the kitchen Cupboard. Finally, the entertainment room boasts a full sleeper futon, an additional TV, a full-size pool table and a ping pong table topper. The entertainment room also has a washer and dryer.

Although we are pet friendly, we do require a one time pet fee of $150.

We love sharing our home with all our guests. However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage we will only accept booking requests from:
-- Renters who are above the age of 25.
--Renters who will be staying during the reservation and are not booking for someone else.
--Renters who have less than 5 star reviews.

**Although there are no steps in the home, each shower requires you to step-up into the shower and there are no grab bars installed at this time.

Great place for our family vacation. Very spacious, it easily slept our group of seven plus three dogs. Perfect location for travel to hiking trails or into town for shops and restaurants. Loved the game room and outdoor space with the hot tub. Good communication with hosts. Would definitely stay again. My only suggestion is they may want to update their check out instructions if wanting guests to do it differently.

6 ladies for a girls wkend. The house is set up very well, could use some mirrors in bedrooms, with 6 women trying to get ready at once is a little hectic with only the 2 bathroom mirror, but we made it work. Nice Place, Perfect location!

This house is clean and cheery, in close proximity to downtown Ottowa and easy drive to Starved Rock. The fenced in backyard was great too! Our hosts were very communicative, and we definitely enjoyed our stay!

Great family friendly home! There was plenty of room for 4 adults, 5 kids. The kids loved the “arcade” and the fenced in backyard was great for letting the kids play outdoor games and run around. The hosts were great at communicating and answering questions in a timely manner.

This was our second year staying at this property, and it was better than ever. Perfect layout for our friend group to hang out and play games together, and yet have our own space, too. Really appreciate the location, as it is close to a grocery store and a DG for incidentals. We had no problems with our stay, and the house was very clean, and the furnishings were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Highly recommend this beautiful home. Great restaurants nearby in downtown and starved rock is not that far either. Host was excellent too.

Much needed getaway

Everything I needed for a comfortable stay while visiting and hiking some state parks from cooking every meal, to streaming my favorite shows, to playing pool and a little Pac-Man. I’d stay here again.

The hosts were wonderful - quick to respond to our every question. The house is great with lots of fun - especially the game room. We were staying there over the holidays to meet up with family and they had a little tree that was lit up. Just the perfect festive touch. We had family members from 8 to 83 years old. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and fun things to do.

Had a great time with the family on our spring away mini vacay. There was a small hiccup with entry to the house but Stephanie and Matt were quick to respond and very attentive. The place was spacious with lots of interactive games and the jacuzzi was a sweet added bonus after a day of hiking at Starved Rock State Park. Highlights of our stay in include my Titi (Aunt) setting a high score on Pacman with over 60K points and me dominating at jumbo connect four game.Overall would highly recommend this property to others looking for a game house as well as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Lovely Starved Rock Getaway

This home has LOTS of lovely details- My nephews ADORED the game room- including the axes, pool table, and connect 4. Its in a great family neighborhood with a park right behind and another huge park only 3 mins away. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the extra blankets at the end of the beds. Overall a great home for a family getaway!

Very nice stay. The house is nice and clean. Bedrooms are large and the beds are good. The yard was great for our dogs and the fencing makes the yard very private. A big kitchen that is fully stocked and the appliances were great. Bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of towels & wash rags. The neighborhood was good and pretty quiet. We really enjoyed are stay.

We had a great stay! Our group of 10 was in town for a family reunion, and this home was perfect for us. Everyone was comfortable with plenty of space to relax. The house was very clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. There were more than enough towels for everyone, which was a huge plus. The game room was a hit and we enjoyed playing pool in the evenings. Would definitely recommend this place and stay again!
