Great place to stay close to the Starved Rock park, especially with the kids: there a lot of fun games to play and our kids had a blast. Host responds very promptly. Recommend this place to others visiting the area.

The property was exactly as described. Check‑in was smooth, communication with the host was quick, and the home was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient, and everything worked as expected. I would stay here again.

This place is great for family and kids who love games! The couch and kitchen was very spacious, stocked splendid. The only confusion I had was it is on the resort site but you cannot access the waterpark on weekends, I would emphasize this in the listing more - and show outdoor pics, one of the door to make it easier to locate. Overall clean well stocked kitchen, excellent A/C, comfy beds and couch. We loved it!

The location was great; it was so dark in the place lot of lights burned out, it was hard to see to play shuffleboard, some of the women complained about the bunk beds being hard to sleep on. This place would be great for someone with children. But all in all was a good stay.

The sheets had sand in them so we had to wash the bedding upon arrival. We contacted the host about loud neighbors (so loud they couldn’t hear us knocking), but never heard back. The place was nice and spacious but the games got in the way. This is part of Grand Bear Resort which is past its prime. Lighting was awful and the upstairs got very hot if the curtains were open. Great location to parks. Decent stay, but likely won’t be back.

Our group of five adults had a great time here! Top amenity ended up being the super cozy fire place, but we also loved being able to work with the smart thermostat as people with different temp preferences. Four stars because most of the dishes had grime / bits on them when we arrived, and we couldn’t comfortably be barefoot in the house. The downstairs toilet also began to leak a few days into our trip and we had to stop using it, as well as a lack of grill. It is listed as one of the amenities but there are actually only public grills in an open outdoor area nearby, so was definitely not convenient. Otherwise, we loved this stay! It’s basically just down the street from both Starved Rock and Buffalo Rock State Parks, which are beautiful. Checking in and out was a breeze, the TVs are great, and the Wifi is strong. Owner is super friendly and communicative too! We had a great time. I would recommend!

Bathroom towels were worn out and all smelled really bad. No bath soap, shampoo, bath/shower mats in bathrooms. Bathrooms not very clean. Not enough forks, no teaspoons and most non stick pans lining were worn away.

Had a Great stay!

Very Clean, lots of games the kids loved, beds were comfortable, reasonably supplied kitchen, loved the waterpark, no shampoo or body soap so bring your own as stated by at least one more person. Will be glad to stay again!
