Downtown Winter Park Mountain Condo

Hi Country Haus vacation rental in Winter Park. FREE shuttle bus from condominium building to Winter Park for skiers and boarders. (For the advanced skier, Winter Park has some of the top bump-skiing runs in North America!) Within a five-minute walk, the following are located: convenience store, Mexican and pizza restaurants, bars/pubs, new movie theater and bowling ally, and church. Two blocks from Winter Park's Main Street, so when the sun goes down you can continue to play.

Cozy, one-bedroom condominium on quiet 3rd floor, Beautiful fireplace, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, smart TV. Creek only a few yards from doorway.

Also included is a pass for all renters to the new recreational center one-half block away: pool table, children's area, lounge,, lockers/showers, indoor swimming pool, two indoor hot tubs, and one outdoor hot tub that overlook the scenic, wooded outdoors.

Grocery store located one block from condominium. Check Winter Park calendar for specific festivals, concerts, and other entertainment year round. FALL IN LOVE WITH WINTER PARK!

No elevator (3rd floor unit).
No air conditioning in unit.
Microwave is broken and will be replaced mid-Oct ‘21.

I don't like it: It is in 3rd floor no elevator&the owner is not fairness in the security deposit

I do not prefer this condo because it is in the third floor with no elevator. We had a hard time carrying our stuff from/to the car to the condo. 2- once we use the two pans they brooked( maybe they are old ). The owner didn't return all the security deposit because of these two used pans. 3- the heater was not working properly in the first two days. I will not rent this condo a gain

Has real potential, but needs some changes

First of all, we are harsh reviewers. So please read this with that in mind. PROS: responsive owner with quick replies and real effort to make things right. Bed and sofabed both very comfortable. Small condo in good shape for an old complex: bath recently remodeled well, kitchen well-stocked. Working wood-burning fireplace (we didn't use). Great location in walking distance to the whole town (preferred drop-offs at WP base or would have done paid parking at the Vintage Hotel if all had been skiers; not big fans of the Lift bus service but it comes right to the condo). Great TV with HDMI jacks in living room. CONS: Quality of 'consumables' was really poor: bath towels low quality, toilet paper was horrible 'dollar store' quality, no soap or other amenities (that is unheard of in our VRBO experience). No kleenex and very few towels available--no hand towels at all (owner said that there had been problems with theft of some products so the bare minimum gets stocked, but promptly had towels and kleenex delivered when notified of the problem). Lightbulbs throughout are mostly cool white compact fluorescent which feels/looks horrible. Only seating for 3 at counter. No other seating for meals. Whole condo is carpeted--including kitchen! and bathroom sink area (except shower/toilet room). Surprised carpet is in such good condition, but it was. No headboard on bed and no pillowcases available for any of the 'king size' bed pillows in closet. A very worn and torn (in multiple places with prominent holes) blanket was in the bedroom closet. We would guess it was last inspected in the late 1980s from its condition. No hangers in closet. Pillows were old and a bit stained, though a couple were our preferred squishy down-filled variety. An overwhelmingly strong detergent fragrance was evident on the bedsheets/pillows--actually interfered with sleep until we got used to it--not pleasant. RECOMMENDATIONS: To owner: Charge guests another few bucks per night and provide higher quality paper products, good towels, adequate linens and blankets, new pillows, a few hangers, and 2 mini bars of soap. Change the lightbulbs to warm white (even LED). Use unscented laundry detergent. To future guests: we think the owner will do these things...she seems to care about her property and this is a great price point for a WP rental. Some inexpensive fixes will go a long way.

VRBO has map wrong

The location listed on VRBO was not accurate; it was shown as Old Town winter park and therefore walkable to the ski hill. This is not correct, this is in a condo complex on the far side of the main town of Winter Park. This was pretty disappointing, as we were looking forward to not having to drive and park at the ski resort (it was way too cold to think about waiting for the shuttle!). We also found the bed uncomfortable; too soft and moved a lot when anyone shifted position. However, the fireplace was nice, the kitchen well-stocked, and the condo rec center (about 1/2 a block away) had 3 hot-tubs (2 inside and 1 outside) to choose from, which were all pluses.

Perfect!

Clean, cozy and local! Everything we were looking for in our little quiet Christmas getaway. From the start, even before the checkin, the communication was spectacular. Everything was well laid out ans easy to follow in regards to directions for the property and we had such an amazing time. We absolutely loved it. Thank you again for opening your home to us. We'll definitely be booking again and can't wait to be back!

Great location and shuttle Winter Park

Nice place to stay with pool and hot tub access. Steps away from shuttle to Skiing. Quiet and peaceful on 3rd floor. Nice to have a real fire place and even better that is was all set up and ready to be lit on arrival. Only issue was the sink not draining as we needed to lift up the stopper to empty.

Great for a couple and a kid!

This property has a great location- shuttle to ski area is just across the parking lot and rec center with pool and hot tubs are a 2 minute walk away. It’s also close to food shopping and restaurants yet very quiet. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Winter Park getaway Bomb Cyclone 2019

We LOVED the condo! It was located right in town, it was very clean, and well supplied. We were also very grateful for the owner. We got snowed in during the Bomb Cyclone, all of the major hwy’s to get in/out of Winter Park were closed. I simply gave her a call and she was of great assistance and allowed us to stay an extra night until the roads were open/cleared for safe travels. Definitely a pleasant experience. Thank you Joan!

Clean, comfy and excellently located

The condo had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and close to shops, bars and restaurants. There was lots of information on hand about the condo and the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay (especially meeting the neighbours and their lively dogs). The mountain and the snow did not disappoint.

We loved our stay in this condo. It’s right on the River! You can walk to all the shops and restaurants! The new clubhouse, pool, and hot tubs are really nice! We really liked this condo and slept our family of 4 perfectly! We will be back soon! Thanks

Great weekend

Just arrived home after a great weekend and rhis condo and its owner helped to contribute to it. We found the condo to be clean and comfortable. And the owner was willing to answer any question we had within a few hours, I would highly revoked others rent it

Nice place great location. Lots of stairs to walk to third floor

Shortage of hangers in closest. Instructions for entry to unit was incorrect and delayed our getting in by 3 hours until a neighbor figured it out.

short walk to shops and bus ride to Winter Park, the kitchen sink, lights and table were broke.

Winter Park was amazing. We had a good time. We found the flat colder than we expected but it was fine. I found the host shockingly unfair. The bedroom light and kitchen sink and table were broken we notified owner and she said she knew about the sink she would see if it's possible to get someone to fix it. We moved the bed about half a metre and dI'd not move it back. It was not in the way and it would have taken 1 minute to move back. She charged me $25 from the damage deposit to move it. Meanwhile I am getting water for cleaning and cooking from the bathroom and stumbling around in the dark. The lounge sleeper was also very uncomfortable. Eventually my wife and my child were sleeping on the floor. So, can't wait to go back to Winter Park. I defineatly will not stay in this unit or any other unit the owner has anything to do with.

Great condo in a perfect location within Winter Park.

This condo has everything you'll need and has been recently remodeled. It is in a great location with the building very close to the newly built Hi Country Haus rec center. The owner Joan has seemingly thought of everything and we will be coming back.

Very cute and cozy condo!

We had a great stay. The condo has everything you need. Couch is comfy, nice comfortable bed, great shower. Only had a couple small issues. The bathroom sink would not drain and we could only get a trickle of water out of the kitchen sink faucet.

Family Comfort

A great weekend getaway from Denver for the family to snowboard on the mountain. We love the location of the property. The new rec center is fantastic and the pool and hot tubs are a relaxing break after being on the slopes all day.

Another Great Winter Park Visit

Our family of 4 has stayed at this condo before and have plans to stay again this season. The new rec center is great and an added bonus for this season's ski trips! The location between the resort, restaurants in WP and the grocery store in Fraser can't be beat. We enjoy staying at Hi Country Haus for all of our weekend trips.

Great condo in the heart of Winter Park

The condo was a great size for 2 people. The Lift pickup right outside the building was very convenient getting to and from downtown and Winter Park Ski hill.

EPIC SKI TRIP!

We had a great 2-day ski trip to Winter Park/Mary Jane. The condo we stayed in was PERFECT! The owner has taken very good care of their condo. It was very clean. Updated bathroom and shower. Nice flat screen television. Kitchen was well organized with all the essentials. Very comfortable bed. Very nice sectional couch in the living room. The owner contacted me with all the info needed to check in which was very convenient. It is located in a great spot for restaurants and only a few minutes from the slopes. We would stay there again. Thanks again for the use of your condo.

I grew up skiing in Winter Park and still do. This condo has been in our family for 41 years (original owners) and it holds a special place in my memories--we hope you can create some fond memories in Winter Park too.

Winter Park is a family oriented resort that is very close to Denver. There are consistently fewer traffic issues commuting to Winter Park than the other Front Range Ski Resorts. It is 'Colorado's Favorite' and although has a reputation for being family friendly and affordable, has some of the most challenging slopes in North America that keeps expert skiers coming back. Summer offers fun children's activities at the resort base, miles of bike trails at every level, and scenic hiking.

Living room has a huge L-shaped leather couch for lounging, watching movies or gazing at the fire after a long day on the mountain. Rec Center has a huge indoor pool with four hot tubs along with a game room, laundry facilities.
