Mike… I really wish you would have said something to me about the squirrel. We’ve had a chipmunk problem lately but we’re working the situation. However, that pest guy didn’t even tell me he was going to show up so I’m a little annoyed by that too. But the lack of communication by you is equally annoying. This is still my home and I rented to you so you could go to a golf outing and I even worked with the HOA to let you park there early. I think your review is really unfair.

Our home is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, where changes in elevation and stairways are common features of the neighborhood. The listing photos accurately depict the property’s multiple levels, and while many guests travel with pets, we understand that every pet’s mobility needs are different. Regarding trash disposal, Douglas County requires the use of designated bear-resistant dumpsters to help protect local wildlife. These dumpsters are located a short drive from the property, which is standard practice throughout many mountain communities around Lake Tahoe. Because of these regulations, individual trash or pet waste receptacles are not permitted outside vacation homes. As for the housekeeping concern, we took your report seriously and immediately investigated. We confirmed that no scheduled cleaning was authorized during your stay, and the cleaning company was adamant they were invited inside by one someone in your party. The code you received for the house is only available to you so it’s not physically possible for them to enter unless they were invited in. We reviewed procedures with our housekeeping team to ensure housekeepers don’t interact with guests in the future. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
