Osage River Get-Away, kayaks included! Relaxing with a beautiful view

Kick back and relax on the deck overlooking the Osage River. Fish, swim, kayak or bring your own boat! Boat ramp is only 1/4 mi away. Watch fish jump and Bald Eagles fly. Grill and eat outdoors, Firepit by the edge of the bank overlooking the river.
There are no tvs in the house as we hope to promote a peaceful getaway
also no dishwasher, bring paperware if you prefer not to wash dishes to often!
When the river level is low there is a beautiful sand bar in front of the cabin. When the river is higher, that sand bar is covered. River level can fluctuate frequently, I am happy to update on current levels anytime, so you know how to plan. When it's higher kayaking and swimming will be a bit challenging.

Beautiful property, very relaxing just sitting and watching the river and I was able to bring my elderly dog with me which was a huge plus.

Wonderful location. Had so much fun fishing and having campfires. The beds were very comfortable and the house has everything we needed. Just loved the peace and quiet. Very friendly neighbors. Would stay again. We miss it already.

My 2 friends and I thought it was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Our only complaint had nothing to do with the house or host, but the heat! We wanted to sit outside on the deck, but it was too hot. Thank goodness for the view of the Osage River through well-positioned windows! The river was low, so we opted not to use the kayaks. That said, we 3 highly recommend this VRBO as a getaway or as convenient location to Jefferson City without being in JCMO.

Nice, comfy place. Everything you needed was there - throw blankets, grill and supplies. The kitchen was great all full size appliances. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was very clean. I was pleasantly surprised to find coffee filters and a little treat station! There is a lovely swing under the deck for morning coffee with a great view!

Stay was amazing. Beautiful view. Clean home. Nice neighbors. Sunrise is magical. The only thing I would like to have known was that no alcohol is allowed, which is not listed anywhere. My husband and I had bought a few bottles of wine but did not drink them. If I had known it wasn't allowed I would have stayed in a different location.

Christmas stay

We stayed over Christmas to visit family in the area. Property was very clean, has nice beds. It has all the utensils you need in the kitchen. It was very foggy out so we couldn’t enjoy the river view as much as we wanted. We had some issues with the water heater but the owner was very responsive in helping dealing with something out of their control. All in all it was a nice stay for our family.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Located right on the river with fun activities for all ages. The house was clean and welcoming upon arrival. The host was friendly and easy to contact with any questions and quick with a response. It is pet friendly and kid friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to return. ⁸only suggestion was if they could have a gate for the staircase at the top to sit and enjoy the deck and not have to worry about dogs or children with the stairs.
