Escape to historic Bayville Village in Boothbay Harbor, a restful community founded in 1911 and stay in our charming newly built year round cottage. It’s a perfect location at the head of Linekin Bay with a short walk to dock, beach, tennis and pickleball court, and nature trails.
This one-bedroom cottage offers a peaceful retreat with all the comforts you desire. As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a cozy living area, tastefully decorated with coastal accents and flooded with natural light. Enjoy the views of the garden from the dinning nook.
The bedroom is a serene haven, complete with a plush king sized bed ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploration.
Only 1 mile away, explore Boothbay Harbor, a picturesque coastal town known for its scenic beauty and charming atmosphere. Located on the rugged midcoast of Maine, with stunning views of the sea and the surrounding islands. Take a short cruise around the harbor or a longer one to Monhegan island. End a perfect day with a sunset sail or enjoy a boat trip to the popular Cabbage Island clambakes. The downtown is filled with shops, art galleries, and delicious seafood restaurants. Strolling along the waterfront, you can enjoy the fresh sea breeze and observe the lobstermen bringing in their catch.

One of the highlights is the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, a stunning 270-acre oasis featuring beautifully landscaped gardens and scenic walking paths.

Boothbay Harbor also hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, including the annual Windjammer Days Festival, which celebrates the town’s maritime traditions with parades, fireworks, and boat races.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! It had everything we needed for our short stay. Our dog enjoyed going for walks around the neighborhood and Ocean Point is only a few minutes away - perfect for sunrise strolls with a view.

The little cottage on the bay was a dream - beautiful design with wood rafters and skylight in the bedroom. Very quiet and relaxing deck to unwind and star watch. Charming post office across the street and charming garden added to the ambience. Much thanks to the host for providing an extra blanket- September nights can get chilly. Great for a couple needing serenity

10/10, would absolutely stay here again. The cottage was clean as a whistle and everything we could possibly need as a vacationing couple was taken care of -- extra towels and blankets, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, comfortable bed, plenty of space to relax, and easy walking to the waterside. The cottage is cozy but not cramped at all for two.We loved the location -- a close drive to Boothbay Harbor for strolling, lounging, eating, etc., but nice and quiet at night, being off any main thoroughfares. Check-in and check-out were easy and non-fussy, and it was a snap to come and go as we pleased. We have relatives in East Boothbay so when we come back we will definitely consider staying here again. Truly wonderful!

Great getaway

The cottage was beautiful, exactly as described. Location was just perfect. Alina was the perfect hostess, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable few days would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was great. It was close to Boothbay Harbor but just outside of downtown. We especially enjoyed the surrounding area, proximity to water, porch area with grill.

We had a great time in this cabin. Exactly like the pictures. Quiet neighborhood, lots of great restaurants nearby. Our hostess was quick to reply and very friendly. Would definitely stay again when in area.

Host was extremely friendly. Cottage was clean and well stocked. My dog loved the many places to walk and explore The cottage was in the perfect location. I highly recommend staying there. Than you!

An absolutely charming place. Quaint New England village with its own post office which is a must see. The place was clean and Alina was easily accessible for any questions. And, you’ll meet the chillest dog in the entire state, Lucky.

Cottage stay perfect for a couple

We had a wonderful stay, start to finish. The property owner, Alina, was very welcoming. Small private cottage a short walk from the community dock. Perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of town.

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Little House on the bay. It was close to all the activities available in the area but was quiet and cozy for our down times. The only issue we had was the Wi-Fi was spotty. Overall, an excellent experience!

Paula I am so happy that you had a good experience in Boothbay Harbor staying at the little house on the Bay. As for the spotty Internet I have just called up to install fighter optic cable from fidium to our house because it is now available in our area and fiber optic will have no lag or buffering as they say on the brochure, so I hope that will solve the problem for future guests. Bayville Cottage

It’s a small new cottage which we enjoyed. Great location. Host is very nice and love the Boothbay/Damariscotta area. Would definitely stay again. The pictures are a good representation.

Lovely Little Cottage

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, along w/our pup, Harley. Walking distance to docks to view lovely landscape of Maine waterfront. Weather perfect, comfortable and very clean lodgings - would HIGHLY recommend! We just love Maine!

Great Tiny home in historic Bayville, ME.

Tiny home at a great location. Short walk to Bayville dock and sand beach. Property owners extremely nice and live next to home. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching nature.

We loved our peaceful weekend at the Little Red Cottage

The cottage has anything you’d need for a getaway weekend. So peaceful in the Bayville community - and close to everything. Dining out in Boothbay Harbor is only 5 minutes away. So enjoy the tourist Mecca that is Boothbay Harbor, then retreat to the peaceful tranquility of the little Red Cottage. Alina was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had.

Sweet cabin in lovely area

Such an adorable little cottage ! Everything is new( I think we were only the third people to stay there) Host has outfitted it with everything we needed and it was a plus to have washer/dryer too! Bed very comfy- as is the sofa/chair in living room. We had our collie/corgi dog and she enjoyed the daily hikes in the woods. Very close to Boothbay and restaurants.

Check in was mixed up the owner had a family member in the cottage. The owner rectified the situation in an hour. The owner was in the midst of a family health situation and under a lot of stress. All went well after that.
