The Pointe- Waterfront Peninsula House in Moovalya Keys

The house is located in a gated community where the houses are on canals that go out to the Colorado River. It is ideally located on the main canal that connects to the river. It is at a fork in the canals creating a large body of water in front of the house. This makes for easier maneuvering of boats. A very large patio and huge wrap around dock make for more enjoyable outdoor living. 5mph speed in the canals make for safe swimming at the house and safe mooring for vessels. The 120' dock is private and belongs to the house. There is 60' on one side and 40' on the other of usable space for mooring.

I was born and raised in San Diego. We would go to the river near Yuma at Lake Martinez/ Fisher's Landing. We decided in 1990 that we wanted a house at the river but at that time you could only lease in that area. So we got in the car and started driving and trying to find a river house we could own. We found Moovalya Keys and fell in love. We put in an offer on a house that day. We spent all our free time there and our kids who were 2 and 4 grew up river rats. We proceeded to buy 2 more houses in Moovalya Keys. We loved the area and the people.
We loved the area so much that when I got remarried in 2005 I had the wedding at this house. My daughter followed suit and had her wedding there in 2017.
Although my kids are now grown and we don't make it out to the river as a family anymore. I still come out once a month to check on the houses (I also own Cape Cod #347964 which is right across the canal) and do maintenance and repairs. I have been a board member for the HOA since 2016 so I'm up to date on what is happening in the area.
I have been managing my houses since not long after we started renting them. Although we have tried using the real estate companies I preferred to handle the property management myself so I would know what kind of people were renting my houses. I have had some really great people rent my houses over the years and the majority of the people that rent from me have rented before and many come every year.

When we came out to the river all the time we stayed at Cape Cod #347964 which is right across the canal. We got to know the people that owned this house. They decided they wanted to buy a house on the river and we bought the house from them immediately. This house has the best location in Moovalya Keys.

This house has the best location in Moovalya Keys. Since it is on a peninsula you have water all around you when you're out on the patio. When you sit in the upper covered patio you can see down the main canal and get a breeze off of the water. The house is located where the main canal forks so you have a large body of water in front of the house. This makes maneuvering to the dock much easier and makes for quick and easy river access.
