The place was awesome. Its layout was great for our kids to be able to play. The rental was also very pet friendly which was very awesome. We loved waking up in the mornings and being able to look out over the water while drinking a cup of coffee. Everything we needed was within 15 minutes from the rental. Overall it was a great experience and definitely recommended to others.

Great stay! Host was exceptionally responsive and home presented just as pictures!! Cold air conditioning! Big room in the back of the house looking out at river was super with several tables to eat at or play cards. We had a wonderful stay

We had a wonderful weekend at this Lake Placid home! Denise was friendly and very quick to respond, which made everything easy. The house had everything we needed and more—so many thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome and right at home. It was a lovely place to relax and enjoy time at the lake. Thank you, Denise, for a great stay! We would happily stay again.

This place was amazing and the owner was so helpful! The property is gorgeous and roomy. The access to the water was beautiful and perfect. We celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday with her friends and they were so impressed with the place. The beds were comfy, the A/C was cold, everything was clean, the hot tub was great, the kitchen included everything we could possibly need, and the owner quickly answered any questions we had. Can not recommend this place enough!

Great property. Had plenty of necessities, kitchen stuff, towels, etc. felt right at home. Sunsets were beautiful on the back deck. Highly recommend.

One of the coolest homes I have stayed at. So many activities and different areas to hang out, plus the river in the backyard. I need to book this place again without any plans just to hang out at the house!

We had a wonderful getaway for a few days! The home was thoughtfully stocked and decorated for guests. This would be an awesome space for a large family, teens and small children, or a girls weekend. The views were amazing, the water felt perfect, and even with a rainy day, we were able to enjoy quiet time reading, visiting, and resting in the spacious family room!Great communication with Denise and she was so sweet surprising us with cookies as the hot tub had a power issue caused by a recent storm. We'll have to use the hot tub next time! Thank you!

House is spacious and clean. Host is very responsive and has everything you can think of. Plenty of space for our family to spread out or play and come together. Lots of countertops, two refrigerators, several tables, and couches. The outdoor patio space is very cute and cozy. The hot tub was so nice to relax with the best view! Will return.

Great family retreat

Property is on the river and has many modern amenities. 3-4 great gathering areas in great room, kitchen, and outside. Hot tub is in like new condition and well maintained. While the house is older, the remodel and updating have been very well done so it feels and looks like the description. Water is low because of the dam work up river, but will be even more enjoyable once that work is complete and the river is flowing normal. Definitely recommend and we would definitely consider returning for a longer stay.

Denise was very welcoming and helpful. The property is very well stocked in every way. Kitchen appliances, dishware and cooking pots and pans...not that we cooked much but it is all there! Beds are comfy and bathrooms are fully stocked with extra towels and shower soap, conditioner and shampoo. The windows in the great room are wonderful for watching the outdoors. It was winter so everything was dead but I can imagine how nice the views would be in summer. Lots of birds were flying along the Guadalupe. All in all I would recommend this property to families...kids would be in heaven here!

We really enjoyed our stay overall. Unfortunately, the toilet became clogged during our visit, but the owner responded immediately and had plumbers out right away to address the issue. They gave us several options to make things right, and the most convenient choice for our family was to end our trip a little early and head home. While the situation was unexpected, we appreciated the owner's quick communication, professionalism, and willingness to work with us. We'd definitely consider staying here again.
