Romantic Cabin for Two! 12 miles to Schlitterbahn/New Braunfels, Gruene Texas.
10% discount for weekly stays..... (Check In is at 9am and Check Out is at 4 pm.) We want you to be able to enjoy more vacation time on your check in and check out days.
We welcome pets but there is a pet deposit required and we request no pets on beds or couches. (See pet rules).
NO GROUP PARTIES, NO EXCEPTIONS, this cabin is for a couple or a couple with kids. NO EXTRA GUESTS for the day to BBQ, it is just for the 2 people who rent it, plus their little kids. It is not for 4 adults.
Come sit on the 400 SF dock of our Sliver Of The River on Lake Placid in Mcqueeney Texas! Lake is full again! Fish, Kayak or just snooze in the hammock. Large park like yard for kids/dogs to run around. (No fence though.) Up to 2 dogs under 50 pounds are allowed, must be listed and deposit paid. We have the cabin deep cleaned after each pet stay. Have dinner with a beautiful view of the river from the picnic table after you cook on the charcoal BBQ pit.
We are located 35 miles from the River Walk in San Antonio and 62 miles from Austin.
( Slope down to the river is rather steep and may challenge some folks walking back up.)

This was our 2nd stay here, we like to book here whenever it is open. Always clean, comfortable, relaxing,exceptional host, all amenities you need, so never need to bring much with you. Just you, your fishing pole and bait and you are set!! Kayaks are supplied on the property with life jacket in cabin. We go just around the corner to Blake’s Cafe or bbq .

The place was exactly as described. Perfect get away for a couple. We kayaked up and down the river, hung out in the water and had a very relaxing weekend. We will be back!

We loved the peaceful stay. The cabin is so cute and right on the river. We enjoyed several peaceful paddles in the kayaks and some fishing. Close enough to drive into town to eat and get groceries but far enough for quiet.

In town for my longtime friend of 47 years 50th birthday celebration. I needed a small quiet place to stay, and this was perfect. What a neat little cabin! It had everything I needed. I will go back sometime when I need to get away again!

This property was one of our favorites so far! So quiet and peaceful! We relaxed and enjoyed the river and the wildlife! We will definitely be back! Thanks again!

Great experience.
Property was very clean, well taken care of, nicely decorated, and a great place to stay the weekend at for my family and I. We enjoyed every second of our stay and would recommend this property to everyone looking for a quiet, beautiful stay.

Slice of Heaven
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. This little gem of a house was perfectly situated on the river with great finishing access from the dock. We cannot wait to book again.

Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful time. The place was really clean and well kept. Easy access to the river and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Loved it!

Cabin Stay
This was a fantastic house that had everything needed to not have to leave. We made our Christmas dinner in the house and enjoyed the day in peace.

We love boating and once the dam is fixed we will be back on the river teaching grandkids how to ski!

It's small so it is the perfect getaway for couples or small families. There is almost an acre of park like yard for kids to run around in. There is poison ivy down next to the river edge so be careful. The light switch for the dock lights are on the electrical panel that is up on the hill facing the dock.
