House was clean. Few odds and ends that didn’t work like the tub and some of the sliding glass doors. Overall amazing experience!

Best view and deck in Duck! Beautifully set up home.

This is the second year in a row that we have rented this home. Hands-down, the best deck and view. The deck has you perched above the dunes so not only is the view of the ocean spectacular but you can see onto the beach as well. Wonderful for sunrises, coffee meals on the deck and stargazing at night. If you are not inclined to be outside in the sun, the view from the sofa and chairs in the upper main level of the home also have panoramic views of the ocean. The kitchen is large to allow for multiple helpers to create wonderful family meals in the table easily seats 10. Plenty of space for large families and we loved being able to bring our two Portuguese Water Dogs who also enjoyed their stay.

Excellent

Our 2nd time at this beach house. Proximity to the beach is outstanding! We always enjoy the large deck overlooking the sea & sand. Can't beat each bedroom having an ensuite bathroom. We spent alot of time around the large dining room table eating, playing games & enjoying time with our family. Already have a reservation for next year!!!

AMAZING house

We can't wait to come back. Loved the open concept with gorgeous views, the sound of the ocean 24/7, proximity to shops in Duck, but not crammed in with a crowd of houses and people. Great location, great house, great views (even the hot tub had a view!). Our dogs LOVED it, too. The kitchen was well-equipped, beds and pillows were VERY comfortable, and even the towels were soft!

Absolutely stunning beach house!

We fell in love with your beach house - the beautiful main room with the stunning view of the ocean, beautiful/comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and spectacular deck! We will definitely be back sometime soon! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous beachfront home with us to experience and make new, happy memories!

Absolute best location, roomy, comfortable

We loved our location right on the beach, incredible views of the ocean from the back rooms and the decks. Large well-furnished rooms, comfortable beds, each bedroom has en-suite bathroom. Well-stocked kitchen. Loved the wet bar and jacuzzi. House interior needs cosmetic updating, needs new screens on sliding doors. Price was very reasonable. Wish there were a few basics in the kitchen, at least salt and pepper! All in all a great value!

We were disappointed with our stay given the number of maintenance issues we encountered. Upon arrival, we reported several problems, including an inoperable sliding glass door leading to the deck off the living room, missing dresser knobs, leaking hoses, and inoperable deck spigot. The washer and dryer subsequently stopped working and ultimately was not repaired before our departure. The jacuzzi tub was also labeled “out of order” the entire stay, and there was a discrepancy regarding whether another “out of order” sauna was advertised as an available amenity when we booked.We appreciated that maintenance addressed some of the smaller issues day one, but the overall number of problems was disappointing given the price of the rental. The maintenance team failed beyond day one.We were also disappointed with how the concerns were handled after our stay. Management told us they would discuss a goodwill adjustment with the owner and circle back with us the following week. After several follow-ups, the only offer we received was a complimentary early check-in for a future stay. We were hoping for some consideration for the issues experienced during the stay itself.The house itself has a lot of potential and the location was enjoyable, but based on our experience, we would have expected better maintenance and follow-through for a rental at this price point.

It was a real shame the washer and dryer broke down during your vacation. We did everything we could to have them replaced promptly. As for the other issues you had, we resolved them within the first hour of you contacting us. We can't control what breaks, but we can control how quickly we fix it. Some items in the home aren't advertised. The owner will replace them or eliminate them altogether in the off-season. We do hope you enjoyed your stay in the OBX.

Lovely windy week in Duck

We loved our week on the beach. The house was lovely, even though the weather was not. Beds were all comfortable, the house was clean. It was great to be able to have my little dogs along w us for a long snuggle through the chilly windy week. I do wish that the elevator in the house was available for use, as I found the stairs to be a challenge for my knees by the end of the week. I will need to prioritize that in future planning, but we loved the house and would love to visit again

Perfect Beach Getaway

This house exceeded my expectations, the pictures do not do it justice. It is a gorgeous property right on the beach. The open floor plan with a well stocked kitchen made relaxing and entertaining a pleasant experience. There are views of the ocean at each level and from any room. We had 13 people and never felt on top of each other. Thanks Shore OBX for helping fulfill one of my bucket list items. A house on the beach that would accommodate my family. We are planning our next stay at this property.

Excellent

Wonderful stay! The house is right on the beach and only 2 miles from The center of Duck. The home was clean, well appointed and had plenty of space for our party of 7 with each bedroom having its own bathroom. The beds were incredibly comfortable. I know everyone comments on the elevator not working and that is inconvenient but not a dealbreaker. It would be nice if there were some sort of posts to help climb the sand dune back to the house from the beach. It would also be great if a WiFi extender were on the top floor. We spent a lot of time up there and the internet signal was weak with a few devices going. Sometimes we couldn't stream television due to the weak signal. All said, we had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to our next stay!

Unbeatable views!!

Our group of nine adults had a wonderful week! The home has a great deck with amazing views and we took full advantage from sunrise to star gazing in the evenings. Even in the afternoon there was shade so we could maximize our time outside. The walkway to the beach leads to a sloped pathway that proved a little challenging for some in our party but we managed to climb the hill returning to the house. We enjoyed the hot tub and appreciated the credit for the beach gear as we chose a wagon which was helpful to haul our beach gear up the hill. We found the internet strength to be weak most of the time so if you need to be online you'll need to bring a hotspot. The top floor was a great space to gather and we made great use of the bar area near the deck. The kitchen is a bit dated and we found the cooking pans a bit lacking but manageable. Near the latter part of our stay the AC stopped. Property mgmt did their best to assist us. We found some of the bathrooms quite small for adults sharing but could be adequate if you are traveling with children.

Good and bad… Good, location was awesome as well as the view, sunsets and sunrises. Hot tub great, decking and deck furniture very nice. Conveniently located near Duck. Bad, sauna and elevator didn't work. AC not cooling house. Dog hair balls all around outside deck. Sand spurs terrible out front. Kitchen stocked with old stuff, no stirring/serving spoons. Cracks in flooring and bathrooms need to be updated, Specifically master. My husband is 6'5 and shower stall and sink height made for small people. Found a bath mat hanging in a bathroom but when I opened it to use found dried dog poop in it!

Perfect house for my adult family

A room and separate bathroom for every couple in my family. Even more beds for future grand children. Can't beat ocean front and the deck overlooking the dune and beach was awesome. Very open top floor with windows all around was also fantastic. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of games, separate bar area on top floor was also a bonus. No secrets here: certain things do need to be upgraded in order to get a five star rating. Fix the elevator. Add some type of a step system from the beach to the top of the dune. Easy to walk down but coming back up with chairs or a tent is difficult for most elderly adults. Master bathroom upgrade to a larger shower.

Another great stay

Loved the house yet again. We had issues with the AC which we only learned about while driving in. Room AC units were installed during the stay and one of those needed to be repaired during our stay because it became detached from the wall. Otherwise we had a very nice time and are looking forward to next year.
