Idyllic location, open floor plan. Well stocked kitchen, Good quality appliances and utensils. Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water. Would rent again.

A great place for a family vacation-- or a group of friends-- and your well-behaved pup. The arcade games were fun, the kitchen was really well stocked -- even storage containers, which is really nice if you are staying a week or so. The road is quiet as it ends in a cul-de-sac (from which you can walk to the lake). So much wonderful hiking nearby.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this Donner Lake home. The wraparound deck was our favorite spot, perfect for morning coffee, outdoor dining, and relaxing in the lounge seating. We loved that the home was pet‑friendly—as we could take our dog on the beautiful hike around the lake and Donner park that we could start right outside our door. The home is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make cooking easy and enjoyable.We were just minutes from Donner Lake beaches and Downtown Truckee. The drive to Lake Tahoe (north or south) is an easy drive. We had a great stay!

Eclectic cabin that is well stocked for some good cooking!Nice linens, lots of essentials in the kitchen for cooking. Beautiful views from the deck and main living area. Love South Shore Dr around Donner Lake. Less traffic and great for walking. Also very pet friendly.

The place was perfect for my family of 5. Plenty of space in the house for 3 teenagers to hang out. The property was close enough to walk to the public beach.

Great Location

Ski Week Trip

We had an easy stay. The house was well appointed, including games and such for our kids, the jacuzzi was warm, the heat worked well and the manager was easy to reach. We’d stay again!

No complaints but a few tips.The shower head upstairs kept falling off. We learned if you held it while you turned the shower on and off it stayed put better.Also, cell phone service wasn’t great so take a screenshot of the door code and entry info before you arrive. Kitchen and laundry were well stocked and convenient.Just be aware, there are a lot of stairs in the unit. It wasn’t a problem for those of us staying there but my elderly father had difficulty navigating them when he came for dinner. We had a lovely stay. The views of the lake are amazing and the balcony was such a pleasant place for morning coffee and after dinner conversation.Staff was quick to return our emails with questions which was helpful.

Nice house

The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful view. Only reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it stated it’s a 1 minute walk to the Lake which is false. We had to drive or walk about 10-15 minutes which is fine but we wanted to be walking distance because of the kids. Other than that a great place to stay.

Five star view and amenities

Went for a family get away with ages 89 to 11 for the Donner Triathlon. We sat in the hot tub and looked out over the lake it was very relaxing. We watched the sun come up and the birds awaken while laying in bed looking out over the lake. The kitchen had everything plus more. The cleanliness and details were better than described. Great House!

We had a nice time staying at the house. I grew up in Truckee but have never lived at Donner Lake. It was nice to bring my husband and kids here and enjoy being so close. The house was plenty big enough for us and our 8 and 10 year old. My family same to visit and all the cousins had fun with the game room downstairs. The house is kind of right in the middle of China Cove and West End Beach.

Donner Lake getaway

Great little property on Donner Lake, nice views with a balcony and hot tub. Overall great experience but a few smaller issues. First, steep driveway that was very icy with the weather and I definitely needed to shovel/scrape it even with a AWD SUV on all-weather tires. Second floor power was out, (not sure if this wasn't checked beforehand?) but management was helpful in helping me find the circuit breaker to reset things. Ice making wasn't working. Dishwasher a little finicky getting started. But no significant major issues and the kids liked it. Again, overall great homebase on Donner Lake, easy access to Sugar Bowl and local trails/snowshoeing.

Our family getaway to Donner Lake was amazing! The house lived up to our expectations and beyond, beautiful views and great location! Communication with the property management was amazing they checked in with us to make sure things were good!
