Beautiful Waterfront Retreat in Cambridge!

Spend your day crabbing and fishing off our new dock or simply sip your coffee or cocktails as you watch the sunrises and sunsets and take in the abundant wild life sights of Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, Osprey, deer and geese. Crab traps and fishing rods are ready for your enjoyment, just bring your bait.
Explore Hudson Creek and beyond with our two person kayak and two paddle boards, life jackets are included. Enjoy your freshly caught crabs in our Crab House which is also filled with indoor and outdoor games, such as a giant Connect 4, mini table top pool table, water guns, corn hole, yard dice and more. Or simply grill out on our Flattop grill. Wrap up your day around the fire pit taking in views of the water. Kitchen is well equipped and house has plenty of board games and puzzles for rainy days.

If you are looking for a great homecooked meal head to the Neck District Grille just two minutes from the house. Downtown Cambridge is less than 15 minutes away and offers numerous restaurants, including the Hyatt which offers day passes during the summer for their pools, spa and beach. We are 15 minutes from Horn Point and the Harriet Tubman Museum. Layton's Chance Vineyard and Winery is 35 minutes and Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is 40 minutes away if you are looking to do some hiking. We are 30 minutes from Easton and 45 minutes from Oxford and St. Michaels.

Thanksgiving 2024

The perfect Thanksgiving. House was just right for family of three although more people would have been fine too. Lived the crab shack and played lots of pool and ping pong. Kitchen well stocked. Owners were prompt in responding to any questions. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Home Away From Home

This house exceeded our expectations in every way. The kitchen is large and well-appointed, the beds are comfortable, and the peace and quiet is priceless. We enjoyed morning coffee in the sunroom, table tennis in the crab house, sunsets from the dock, and stargazing at the firepit. If you desire peace and quiet this house is a perfect choice!

Great get away.

Very nice and quaint house. Small but lots of room. Clean and nicely decorated. Lots of fun hanging out in the Crab Shack and great bon fires at night. Loved catching crabs off the dock. Very nice and helpful hosts.

Cute and Cozy

This house is on a quiet street with hardly any traffic. We could walk out to the water. The sunset and sunrise views were a treat.

Thoughtful accommodations and excellent communication!

We stayed with 2 toddlers and the house was thoughtfully prepared! Equipped with games, coloring books, S’mores and bug spray! Rebecca was very responsive to messages. Enjoyed catching crabs off the dock and gaming in the garage. Highly recommend to young families.

A great stay in a beautiful location

We had a great few days here. The house was well-appointed, and there was so much to keep our grandchildren occupied, from ping pong to pool to checking for crabs in the crab pots. It was far enough from town to feel peaceful and serene, but still close to everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!

After booking our trip for late June our granddaughter was chosen for the All Star softball team and had several games during the week iv our stay. I reached out to Rebecca and she generously offered us a week in August and she honored the June price! What A great experience we had! This was one of the cleanest places we have ever rented. Lovely decor, new appliances, comfy beds. The garage was so much fun. We enjoyed the basketball, ping pong and pool table. We spent time sitting in the Adirondack chairs chairs, enjoying the breeze. When we first arrived we were delighted to find several crab traps filled with crabs! We visited St. Michael’s one day and had several good meals in nearby Cambridge. But, our favorite day if all was spent just enjoying the water. We crabbed, paddle boarded and floated in river tubes we purchased at Walmart. We got three dozen crabs and had a delicious crab party! Wonderful stay! When I got home I realized I left my makeup bag behind. Rebecca and her husband kindly had it shipped to our home! Great home, area and hosts!

3 Generation Family Get-a-Way

We had a 4 night stay with kids and grandkids. The weather was a bit warm so the room air conditioners were appreciated. Used all beds and bedrooms which were perfect for our group of 7. Kitchen was well equipped - flattop grill in crab house was a real plus! Plenty of room to spread out on the main floor family room and 3 season front porch. The stand-up boards and kayak were enjoyed by all. We brought along bikes and the area was nice for short scenic rides. There were crab traps at the dock and the kids had a great time learning about crabbing. The crab house is great! So many options for outdoor and indoor games/activities. Rebecca even included the fixin's for smores and firewood for the firepit. There were lots of outdoor chairs for the dock and shore seating. As listed, there is only one bathroom which is located on first floor while all bedrooms are on 2nd floor. This is good all day but not necessarily at night;) There were 7 of us so one more chair at the kitchen table would have been nice. Also, swimming from dock was not possible due to the numerous jelly fish in the creek. Rebecca was quick about responding to us when we had questions.

Beautiful home on the bay

Thank you- we had a great time! The house is beautiful and many amenities (super soft towels, popcorn, s’mores, etc.). We enjoyed the crab shack/game room - so many fun things to do. Kayak and paddle board were fun to try out too, and kids enjoyed catching (and releasing) crabs off the dock. Well equipped for campfire, but it was too hot for us to make a fire. So hot on the bay side that we drove to Assateague to cool off one day (~1.5 hr drive from house). Thanks for everything!

Wedding Stay

We attended my cousin’s wedding. The host was accommodating and the place was fantastic!!! We saw a beautiful sunrise directly on the water while enjoying morning coffee. Highly recommend!!!

My kids voted this the BEST weekend ever!

This house is incredible! Probably the cleanest rental house I have ever stayed in! The house was well stocked and very comfortable. However, we didn’t spend much time in the house because the outside is the real winner! The Crab House has everything to entertain kids and adults for hours! We spent all day in the yard, taking in the beautiful sights! If you are an early riser, like myself and one son, don’t miss the sunrise. So peaceful! If you are looking for crabs while there, Soft & Salty Seafood is less than 5 minutes away!

Great getaway!

We enjoyed our trip, the house was fully equipped and had all the comforts you could need. The water view, watching the birds, the kayak, the dock at sunrise, were our favorite things. We look forward to coming back sometime soon.

As good as advertised

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay here for Mother's Day weekend, coming in from DC. The property is in a great spot on the water and is a short ride into town. The house itself is cozy, clean, and welcoming with everything you need (including the crab house out back, which our four year old loved!) Rebecca is a thoughtful and accommodating host, too. She gave us several recommendations for food in the area and we really enjoyed her suggested restaurants in Cambridge and in Easton on the way in. We highly recommend this property for those looking to get out of town for a weekend on the Eastern Shore!

Fantastic Family Stay Away from Home!

The Hudson House was perfect for our stay. My boys were in awe of the house. The owners have made it so cozy and have paid such close attention to details. There were snacks, amazing notes to help you navigate the house, and games to keep the kids busy. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to have a relaxing weekend right on the water. -Nicole M.

Hudson House

Great place even in February but seems totally suited to summer fun with catching crabs and enjoying life along the creek. The house is well appointed and relaxing. All with us confirmed the beds were very comfortable. The dock is great and even in February we could get some sun!!!

Perfect place for family gathering

We used the house as overflow for family gathering for Thanksgiving. The place was bright, clean and welcoming. The snacks and drinks provided were a lovely surprise. The beds were very comfortable. The garage game room was exceptional and thoroughly enjoyed. Would rent again in a minute...in fact, the family wants to know when! Thank you!!!

Great getaway!

We had a great time at this house for a girls weekend away. We we able to relax and take advantage of being away from the city. The host was very thoughtful and provided everything needed to take advantage of the amenities. We enjoyed sitting out in the dock and watching the water and wildlife!
