Shipwright Cottage is a fully-renovated idyllic getaway located in the Bay Hundred area of the Chesapeake Bay just 8 miles outside of St. Michaels, MD. Bikes and kayaks included!

Shipwright Cottage is a fully-renovated 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath house that is a perfect getaway for couples or small families. The open concept main room on the second floor offers an queen-sized bed and reading nook, while the second bedroom has two extra long twin beds that can be combined to make a king. The living room offers an electric fireplace and pull out sofa. The full bath features a luxurious glass shower and water views accent every room. A screened porch offers space to relax and enjoy the views. The cottage is fully equipped with a fabulous kitchen, WiFi, DVD player, washer-dryer, and charcoal grill. Linens and bath towels are included. Two kayaks, Two adult bicycles, one child's bike, and one bike trailer are available for your use.

Shipwright Cottage is located on Cummings Creek, just a short drive to St. Michaels, Tilghman Island, Oxford, and Easton.

This property is a Talbot County licensed short term vacation rental (License #ST-228-HAB).

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! The location was perfect to explore Saint Michaels and other towns on the eastern shore. Our host was highly responsive to our questions and appreciate the helpful information. Everything was impeccably clean, and house was thoughtfully equipped with anything you could need. Would love to come back again soon!

Had a lovely, very relaxing stay for 4 nights. The house is adorable and cozy. I love all the decorative details. We slept very comfortably and enjoyed the back porch. The house is down a short lane to a lovely body of water. Serene, quiet, and restorative. We enjoyed the short ride to St. Michael's for shopping and good restaurants. We also spent an afternoon stopping into some great antique stores in nearby Easton. Melissa was a great host, kind and responsive!

This lovely house was the perfect location to explore the area. It had everything we needed.The host was very responsive and helpful with questions we had. We were glad our two older dogs were permitted to come.

Really enjoyed our stay

My kids and I really enjoyed our recent stay. The cottage is lovely, perfect really. The garage has kayaks and bikes, and we used both. Would definitely return to stay again.

Perfect little cottage in a great location near St. Michael’s. The interior was clean and looked to be newly renovated. We will be back again, for sure.

Girls weekend

Came for a girls weekend to shop, drink wine and relax and found this perfect little property outside of St. Michael's and Tilghman Island. Loved it so much we're planning on coming back next year!

Beautifully renovated cottage with water views on both sides

This property is beautifully renovated and has everything you could need. Wake up to water views on a quiet peninsula with views on 2 sides of the cottage. It was great that we could have our 2 small dogs with us. Would definitely come again!

Fantastic 32nd Birthday Getaway!!!

I have celebrated 3 different birthday getaways at Shipwright Cottage and was never disappointed!! Melissa us fantastic! Super responsive and reliable. It's such a beautiful area for a quiet scentic getaway and still in Maryland. I definitely will return again!

Summer on the Bay

The cottage was clean and updated and nicely decorated. We had family staying in cottages nearby so we had access to boats and docks. We did enjoy using the bikes that were available. Overall it was a perfect cottage for our vacation on the Bay.

Wittman Waterman Home

What a great place to stay in the fall with our goldendoodle for our anniversary. So cute and charming. Fabulous weather and loved driving to Oxford and returning to St. Michaels on the ferry in 15 minutes. Lots of great eateries and lots of dogs...good for our dog.

Perfect for small family

Everything was clean, house was well stocked, and owner was very helpful with her recommendations and responsiveness. We would definitely stay again. My only wish was that it were ON the water, not between two arms of the creek. O, and it’s great to have use of kayaks, bikes. Great spot
