This is such a great spot to be a home base to explore the high country! The house was spacious with plenty of room and amenities. We always appreciate a pet friendly rental! We’ll definitely be back!

The view is incredible! We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Thankfully pets are allowed and our dog had a great time surveying the area from the deck.

The place was as described and perfect for my husband and I and our fur baby. The game room and hot tub were nice extras. And the views from the deck are spectacular.

Great, cute, cozy cabin with a beautiful view. It’s bigger than the pics online look. Quiet neighborhood close to all attractions and towns. If you need to work or want to watch a movie at night, WiFi was super slow with constant buffering and failure. Host is friendly, communicative and quick to respond. Other than the WiFi, we loved it.

Owners were very accommodating, property was clean and nice! Great view! The hot tub took some time to warm up, but once it did, it was absolutely wonderful. Owners were easy to reach and very responsive. Great hiking less than a minute drive away!

Great Stay

Our family booked an end of year retreat and found a gem. Views were amazing and location was great. Matt was very responsive and would highly recommend.

This place is a gem. We enjoyed the wonderful view and waking up for the sunrise is a must do when you're here. The location was perfect. Lots of great places to eat around Banner Elk and close to Grandfather Mountain if you're looking for a challenging hike. The house was spacious and I appreciate it being dog friendly. We had a wonderful time!

Beautiful home with beautiful views!

We loved our time at The Honey Bear!! The cutest cabin with every comfort we needed!! Can’t wait to stay again! If you stay, check out Otter Falls hiking trail! Matt was incredibly responsive to any messages before and during our stay! ❤️

Beautiful views from porch and hot tub

Overall this is a great stay in the mountains. Close to hiking trails and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin has everything you need. The owner is extremely responsive and answers messages right away! I only gave it 4 stars because some aspects of the cabin were worn and need updating.

Great way to beat the heat in summer

This place had everything needed to enjoy a get away weekend in the mountains. Great views. Easy drives to Banner Elk, Grandfather mountain winery, Appalachian parkway, several good hiking opportunities to waterfalls. Very enjoyable.

Paradise

Our stay at the Honey Bear house was magical. The house had a stunning view of the mountains, had all the amenities as advertised, and was really comfortable! We felt on top of the world, yet had all sorts of hiking, a grocery store and other local amenities within a 10 mile radius. The hosts were super responsive to questions from booking to past checkout. We’ll be back to Honey Bear for sure!
