Ever stayed in a historic 1912 Downtown Mount Dora home? Now’s your chance!!! Welcome to the The Slack House. Perfectly situated one block from all the downtown shops, city hall and restaurants. This two story home can be rented as an upper level, lower level or the entire home for a large group. See my other listing “Historic Mount Dora Guest House”. Enjoy the serenity of the oak trees in the back yard or connect with a downtown ambiance in the adorable front porch - the choices are endless.
The lower level has two bedrooms and two bathrooms- one large room with a queen size bed and the other room with two full-size beds. Additionally, you will find a full kitchen, dining area, and living room with a pull out Full-size sofa bed.
This listing includes the entire downstairs full living area with its own private entrance and kitchen. You can combine it with our other listing “Historic Mount Dora Guest House” if you have an even bigger party.
Parking for the downstairs is on the right side of the driveway, single file. Thanks.

Girls get away
Very comfortable, just 2 blocks from downtown, there was 3 of us so we had plenty of room. The weather was beautiful and we love to set outside to drink coffee and visit so we were disappointed that the front and back porches were dirty.

Mount Dora Storytellers
Its a little startling to walk in the front door and be greeted by a bathroom, but once we were used to that, the property worked well. Communication with the host went smoothly and concerns were quickly resolved. The house is in an ideal location, being close to downtown and the Lakeside Inn where the storytelling festival was held. I would, however, hesitate to try and sleep 8 there.

Historic Mt Dora Relaxation
Great location to downtown and you have the ability to park your car and walk where you need to go. House was just as described. Property owners were accessible when needed. We would recommend people to stay there.
