The American Classic was the perfect rental for our first trip to Newport. Our rental was clean and comfortable, with an incredible view of Nye Beach. The sunsets were wonderful….Our hosts were very welcoming, providing many dining suggestions and tips for getting around Newport…We’re so glad we were able to experience Newport along with our Golden Retriever. The beach was the high point for her….We are looking forward to our next visit to Newport and the American Classic.

The property was amazing, older but very quaint and the best views of Nye Beach. I would definitely stay at this same property again. The host was so accommodating and quick to reply. I highly recommend!!!!!

I had a fabulous stay at The American Classic beachfront historic property. The location and easy beach access was perfect for walking my dog. I loved the shops and great food, all within walking distance. Parking my car was a breeze, right in front of the house. My host went out of his way to accommodate me and my needs. What a personable, flexible, likable individual. Also, my host was always available to me through text, always timely, helpful, and pleasant. My time went by way too quickly, and look forward to another stay in the future.

Wonderful view of the ocean; we watched the sunset every night! Easy walk to the beach. Plenty of kitchen/bathroom/entertainment accommodations. Parking is a free for all on the street, so don’t expect to have a spot reserved. The only issue we had with the house itself was sheer curtains that made us feel a bit exposed in some rooms.

If you are looking for a 5-star resort experience...this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a house that feels like a home - book this place immediately!1. Each room has a fun and eclectic theme. Each bedroom has a bed with varying firmness/softness so you can goldilocks yourself into the best bed for you. They equip the rooms with TVs and DVD players, which we didn't even use because the best show was from the deck. 2. So many seating options. Couches, chairs and small tables, rocking chairs on the deck and inside. If you need a break from the family, there are countless areas to get away. 3. The kitchen is outfitted with EVERYTHING you could need to cook and bake elaborate meals. I have never seen a rental kitchen with so many amenities - it was amazing! 4. It is truly steps from shops, restaurants, galleries and the beach. We only used the car twice (grocery shopping and old town) - both a 7 minute drive away. 5. The owners are so receptive to questions and just really wonderful people to work with. 6. The views are insane. Floor to ceiling windows. Unencumbered ocean views. Pictures will never do it justice. Ever. I am still shocked we were able to get this place at the price point we did. We will be back.

March visit-4 women & lots of room, nice kitchen setup & location is great. We walked on beach, had breakfast nextdoor & made a visit to aquarium.

A lovey cozy home with a wonderful view of the ocean. The home is right next to the Nye Beach access and downtown restaurants. This home has all you'd need for a peaceful stay at the coast.

Location, location, location. Right on the waterfront. Great view. We walked 3 minutes or less to several great restaurants, shops, and a bakery. Hosts were accommodating andhelpful.The house has great personality.

The house was amazing! We loved the location, view, how clean and very welcoming the place is. It's a historic house that you can sit back and imagine when it was the only house around and what it was like back then. The host was magnificent, easy to communicate with and truly wanted us to enjoy our time, which we did! We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Nice beach house with great ocean view. The house is older but very clean and centeral location close to restaurants and shops and the beach. Will stay again.

10/10 for the view! This home.. felt like home with a million dollar view. We were fortunate enough to see sea lions right out the window facing the ocean. It was a quaint and homey little places, while we were there, we honestly had every thing we needed. Down to wine openers, and a large option of retro movies! We will hopefully stay here many more times in the years to come while visiting our daughter in Newport! Thank you Jim and Lana for being amazing hosts and answering every single question or concern we had, and so quickly.
