Peace and Quiet in the East Texas woods just minutes form Edom and Ben Wheeler. This hand crafted, lofted 1 bedroom cottage was hand built by the owners and is located 1/10 of a mile off the road and is ideal for those wanting to relax and read a book, watch wildlife or just relax after a day trip.

Included is all linens, towels, dishes, cookery, some spices, a stocked pantry and stove and microwave. Also has a gas grill. Don't forget to peak in the freezer for Blue Bell.

Provided for breakfast at your leisure is coffee, milk, fruit, farm fresh eggs, and cereal.

We do have a 2 night minimum stay requirement.

Off road tranquility

The cabin was just as described. Tucked back in the woods off the road where we could unwind and come and go to visit our family. Except for the storms, the stay was wonderful.

Lovely and charming

Loved the quaint decor and rural setting of this cabin. It was a perfect spot for a quiet weekend away with my dog. I would love to come back again.

Nice hide away

It was a very nice get away. Super nice cabi, very clean. Cabin was stocked with the normal goodies. Host even dropped off a few essentials.

This is our 2nd stay at this property, and we just love it! It is nestled deep in tall trees, with plenty of privacy, and it is well equipped with everything you need for a long weekend!

Magical cabin

I stayed two nights in this beautiful cabin in the forest and it wasn’t nearly long enough. To spend time in the middle of the woods listening to the first was the peace I needed. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. The hosts were kind and responsive. I have never stayed in a place where the hosts provide fresh eggs from their chickens. I would move to this cabin if I could. It’s that lovely.

Peaceful stay

Wife and I and 2 poodles had a great time at this cabin. Appreciated the cereal, ice cream, cold drinks, and fruit left for us. Would like to return next year.

Peace and quit.

Great cabin in the woods! A beautiful place to rest. Feels very privet. Decor and amenities were perfect. James and Mary are great hosts, helpful and good communication. The eggs are high quality. If you need more of anything, just ask James.

This home was located in a very peaceful setting. The house was clean and comfortable. It had everything that we needed and extras. The owners took care of everything and us. If needed again, we will definitely try to rent this lovely home.

Our favorite stay!

We enjoyed this cozy little cabin so much on our last minute weekend trip. We are a family of 2 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant and we managed a very comfortable stay. James was a super thoughtful host and the house was stocked with some essential items just in case anything was forgotten. Thanks for the awesome stay!

Awesome Little Cabin

We enjoyed our stay!! The cabin is full of natural light that lets you enjoy the beauty of nature! We didn’t get to stay long enough to take advantage of everything it had to offer. The hosts couldn’t have been better! Loved the fresh eggs

Cabin in the woods

We had such a fabulous trip, from the easy check in to the owners being so helpful and nice. Our dogs loved running and exploring the woods surrounding the cabin. We couldnt have asked for a bettter trip. We'll definitely be back.

Home Away From Home

The Mariposa Cabin is amazing. We were seeking a place filled with peace, quiet, and solitude to take refuge. Mariposa Cabin met our needs to perfection. This was our second time to book the cabin and there will be reservations made in the future.

Peaceful and adorable

We loved this beautiful little cabin in the woods. The hosts had fresh fruit, eggs and milk among other things for us. There’s a grill and fire pit. A large covered porch and balcony out from the loft. Highly recommend! 10/10

Loved it!

Beautiful cabin and quiet! Lots of windows to enjoy the trees. The hosts even had Off for the mosquitos. Would have loved to stay longer and experience watching rain in the trees from the cabin.

Short getaway

Perfect location to enjoy a relaxing couple of days after powering through Christmas. Cabin has all the amenities and is well stocked with eggs and coffee. Highly recommended for a couples getaway!

Perfect Little Getaway

Serene. Clean. Cozy. Cute. Its just down the road from the coolest little art town and not to far from Tyler and Canton. I spent a couple of nights to rest and recharge before my birthday and it was amazing. Sit out on one of the porches, take a walk through the trees. Read a book on the couch, journal at the desk. Its perfect to hear yourself think ... and truly listen to what you're saying 😉 10/10 I will be back!
