With views of Penn Cove and an easy walk to downtown or a short uphill hike to Price Sculpture Forest, this sweet cottage is perfectly located to take full advantage of your stay. Pet friendly, quiet neighborhood, with bunnies, squirrels, and deer sharing the yard, there’s a lot to love about historic LoveJoy Cottage. 5 miles to Port Townsend Ferry and 13 miles to Deception Pass bridge and State Park. Many other beautiful parks and hiking trails close by.

Enjoyed staying at this pet friendly historic spot. Comfortable king-sized bed and lots of interesting things to look at inside the cabin. Fun to see all the deer around the neighborhood. Very accommodating host who even reached out before our arrival to check on our preferred coffee creamer. Thank you!

We couldn't have loved our time in Lovejoy Cottage more. Susan was so thoughtful - asking how we take our coffee so the fridge could be stocked before our arrival! They had a Discovery Pass available for use, along with a carefully curated list of activities to do on the island. She gave us recommendations for where to go out to eat, and each was perfect for us. It was pet friendly and we were grateful to able to bring our dog with us and have the trip truly be for the entire family.I'm looking forward to finding an excuse to come back and stay again!

Wonderful visit in Coupeville! The hosts were amazing at communication, allowing us privacy, accommodating with our dog, and gave us wonderful recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We were even feeling the urge to move to Coupeville and be their neighbors. Would stay again and again. 10 stars!

Susan was a great host! She was able to accommodate our needs (we were able to charge our car at the cottage). The view outside was nice and the place was just perfect for our stay. Highly recommended.

Susan is a thoughtful and pleasant host! Loved the warmth, decor and coziness of the cottage…felt like home! Great communication and anticipation of needs. I stayed over Easter weekend, and she brought over dinner…such a sweet gesture!

We loved everything about this place—clean, cozy, and perfectly located. Susan was super helpful and made check-in a breeze and she included lots of special touches in the cottage. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

A lovely stay

We had a great time staying here with our pets. It's a very quiet place and we enjoyed the freedom that the kitchenette offers as it is well supplied. The view of the water from the big window is amazing during sunset. Also really close to town!
There was comfortable space for my dog, which is a huge benefit.

This property was the best pet friendly option and value that I have been able to find thus far in the pacific northwest.The host provided a high quality almond milk to go with the high quality teas and coffee options.The TV streaming options were a great option when it was time to relax.We had deer right outside our door that were not afraid of humans or our barking dogs.

Wonderful spot!

Friend and I stayed here while competing at a show at the Whidbey Equestrian Center. So nice to be close, and had everything we needed. Susan was super easy to communicate with. Will stay here again!

Cute, cozy cottage within walking distance of Coupeville waterfront. Surrounding neighborhood had lots of deer wandering around and during our stay there were plenty of ripe blackberries available to pick.

We spent most of our lives in Sonoma County, CA - but a road trip to help friends move led to discovering beautiful Whidbey Island and historic Coupeville. We immediately began a search for our future retirement location, and within 3 months found the perfect spot. Over the next decade plus, we rented the main house and stayed in the cottage while we finished our careers…finally making a permanent move in 2021. We love living in this friendly small town in an incredibly beautiful setting.

Living so close to the water is a dream come true. We are a short 2 blocks from the water in a quiet neighborhood…many deer and rabbits call our yard home. The community is idyllic, and the natural beauty astounding no matter the weather…so many amazing parks and hiking trails are available, and we take advantage of them all.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The home and cottage are both circa 1900. Completely renovated in the 90s, the cottage is filled with historic photos of the area and antiques. Our home is a work in progress, but the cottage is comfortable and up to date. We love our pets, with 4 small rescue dogs and a kitty…they are often in the yard during the day, so communication is important if you bring your fur baby. We have a pet protocol which involves single word texts to one another to avoid any contact with our pack and your pet!
