Clean comfortable house within 10 minute walk to the beach.

Well-appointed two bedroom three bathroom house. Some of the aminities included a charcoal grill, some beach toys, a wagon to carry things to the beach and plenty of outdoor and outdoor seating. Note the neighborhood HOA wants guests to wear wristbands while using the neighborhood pools and the beach area. Thankfully $30 provides bands for the entire party.

Our family really loved the house. We loved the pool and the backyard for our dog. There is some things that i need to point out to be fixed with this rental. The 1st one is in the master bedroom the TV has no sound coming from the speakers. It sounds like a gurgling sounds, it needs to be fixed. Pictured below in the 2nd bedroom, the bunkbed on the top was broken so we could not use that bed which was and is not safe for a child. But overall, we did have fun and we did love staying at this rental. We would love to come again.

We rented this house before in 2023 and had no problem, however this stay was completely the opposite.. started off with the construction at the private beach entrance. The host with-held this information from us and tried to play it off like she didn’t know it was happening, when there’s a binder on the table in the house giving a heads up about the construction at the beginning of April. It was extremely inconvenient because we had to use a separate entrance that was two flights of stairs. Carrying our beach wagon was awful. We actually skipped the beach a few days because of that. The washer is completely full of black mold, the dryer takes 4 cycles to completely dry clothes- even small loads. There was dog hair every where, the upstairs bathroom has a huge red streak that look like blood so we avoided using that toilet. We had littles and couldn’t utilize the bathtub because there was no plug for the drain, and drain in the master continuously drains. The master bedroom tv also doesn’t work.

We had a great time and it is a great little house in a great location close to the beach. The only issue I had was with the AC. The thermostat is upstairs and the 1st level stayed much warmer. It was initially set to 74 and it felt like 80 downstairs. I set it to 68 which made the 1st level comfortable but the 2nd level cold. Also, after we left, we discovered that we left a blanket. We couldn't find a phone number for the host. The only option we had was texting her and hope she saw it before the cleaners did anything with the blanket. Fortunately, she does respond in a timely matter. Still, texting instead a substitute for a phone call. We did get the blanket.I would definitely stay there again.
Grandkids at the pool.
Bought a cheap pool for the dogs but the grandkids ended up using it. Note: it wasn't there long and did not kill the grass.

We (family of 4) travelled to Destin for an event and decided to stay a few extra days with the family and pup, to give context. The house was just perfect for us. It was great having the bedrooms upstairs. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and there was a full bathroom with shower downstairs as well. The property was just a 10-minute walk to the beach (the community has its own private beach access). They have a golf cart/tram to bring people to/from the boardwalk. There are also 2 small pools and tennis court on the property and a 2-minute walk to the Dollar General store, for anything needed. The area is nice with a mall/restaurants/etc. nearby. We spent most of our time going back and forth to Destin/Ft. Walton Beach, which has more of the beach town vibe. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area. No complaints...the only 2 things I wish I would have known ahead of time are 1) the counties on that side of FL don't allow dogs on the beach; we live on the east coast of FL and didn't think to research that; we had a lot of dog walks. The property has a small fenced in lawn which helped a lot. And 2) for cooking, there were all of the utensils, plates, pans, etc. but no extras like salt, foil, plastic wrap, cleaning spray, etc. It was great having Dollar store next door. As we drove there, we would have a packed a few extra supplies. Overall, we LOVED it and highly recommend it for families!
