Memories in the making

We have been blessed to have Turk lake available for us twice in the last year to allow us to say our final good byes to my mother and father in law 1 year apart exactly. The beautiful view and feeling of being completely secluded with the convenience of a restaurant/bar with live music next door is unmatched. thank you for allowing us to share in your little piece of heaven as we Mourn these losses.

Overall it was a good stay. Enjoyed the lake, fireworks and the music from the bar next door. Place was clean and check in was easy. Only concern was the musty smell and slanted floors and walls. Foundation issues? BBQ grill needs to be replaced as it is deteriorated and rusted out. The dock needs attention as the poles are leaning and so is the dock itself. .

Mini getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was conveniently located right on the lake and had everything we needed for our short, two night stay.

Adorable Lake House

The lake house was a perfect space for our quick getaway. The restaurant next door was super convenient. Wish we could've stayed longer!

Relaxing

Exceptional spot. So relaxing. The beds were so comfortable. It was nice sitting at the table outside and watching everyone on the water. Having the restaurant next door was great. Awesome food and service. We had a wonderful stay.

Like many stated in other reviews, they really need to stay up on the lawn. It was a mess and led to my fiance falling in a hole by the dock. Superior location and the house itself was cozy. I would stay again. Maybe just pay someone to mow the lawn?

Cute place. I would recommend a welcome book that explains the heat/ air on the wall, the local restaurant and gas station. It would be nice to have a couple more kayaks considering it’s a house and they expect more than 2 people. Also the shower needs to be deep cleaned because there is mold present, and also the window sills need cleaning due to mold. There should be a lighter available to start grill and bond fire. Also recommend a shelf or 2 to add to the kitchen because we stayed for a week and bought groceries but hard to put the stuff somewhere that wasn’t the fridge, had to use top of fridge and microwave. . Room fresheners would be nice as well as it had a very musty smell. I’m sure we were the first of the season so I am sure it was it needed to be aired out a bit.

Very peaceful and relaxing getaway

The lake was extremely quiet and was perfect for kayaking. Yard was big enough to play cornhole and yard games. The view was great and peaceful to have a small fire at night. Neighborhood seemed quiet and was nice for morning walks. The house had everything you might need or anything you might forget on a getaway and was provided for you. That was much appreciated

tilted lake house

Nice clean place. Lake is nice to fish in not to swim to many weeds. Kids had lot of fun catching fish. Need better marked parking when I would leave the people at the bar next door would take my parking spot.

Relaxing retreat

The cottage is cute and has everything you need to enjoy some time away from the busyness and stress of life. The area is quiet and full of friendly people. Turk Lake Inn served delicious food and had friendly wait staff. My husband enjoyed catching and releasing the fish and the kayaks were nice and easy to take around the lake. My girls managed to get out in rafts to swim in the middle of the lake a bit. We loved it and will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your cottage.

Floors were very sloped. Outdated appliances. Internet wasn’t working properly. Couldn’t go on boat pier. Also the smell of the water was foul. Very small shower.

Ok

It was ok. The house was clean and the restaurant next door was a big plus. The lawn hadn't been mowed in quite a while and there was old carpet and other trash down by the boat launch so it wasn't pretty when we were sitting outside.

The cottage was clean and the beds were comfortable. The listing does advise that there is a definitive "tilt" to the interior walls and floors and indeed there is. There is nothing fancy about the interior but everything worked and there were sufficient towels and kitchen supplies. One thing, there is no soap except the hand soap in a squirt container. My one negative observation was the condition of the grounds. The grass had not be cut for quite some time, there were piles of old ashes just dumped in the yard, buried in the tall grass, the fire pit was in poor condition, the grill was once a nice one, but it is way past it's life with rusted through portions. There is something wrapped in a tarp along with some other clutter next to the grill. I would not walk on the dock, as it looked pretty shaky. In short the outside does not look like the pictures in the listing, things need a definite cleaning up and maintenance.
