Are you looking for a special overnight stay or a romantic getaway for two people on the water? Then quickly discover everything about this beautiful wellness boat within walking distance from the UNESCO-protected historic center of Amsterdam. The boat is mored at a private marina within walking distance from Central Station Amsterdam, YOU CAN'T SAIL WITH IT & ALSO NOT SUITED FOR Children & PARTY. The neighborhood is very dynamic with a lots of Hotspots on walking distance, like the canal & red light district, Anna frank house& wester tower, 9 street, central Station Amsterdam & many restaurants /bars /shops.

This special stay on the water has a warm Finnish sauna that can easily turn in to a living / chill room with cozy fireplace. The spa provide also a relax bed and a wonderful rain shower in the shape of a tree trunk. On the deck you can relax in the luxurious sun loungers or chill in the hammock when the weather is good. There is also a swimming deck with staircase for the swimmers & watersports lovers. when the weather is not so good you can nestle yourself in a bathrobe on the lounge bed on the lower deck or lie-down on the king size bed watch the ducks & swans cross over & listen to the raindrops.

This old fishing cutter received a complete transformation in 2020, now it's transformed into a beautiful wellness boat & baptized with the name 'De Omega' The zen interior was designed with the use of natural and sustainable materials being central to create a relaxed atmosphere. A nice detail is the starwatching roof above the dining table, so you don't have to go on deck to enjoy the starry sky.

Additional plus is that it is also sustainable, the entire boat is self-sufficient and an ingenious osmosis system from Austria ensures that this filtered water is even drinkable. You can read in detail how they did this in the information folder upon arrival. Nice to know is that the wood in the boat is old sanded planks recycled from the cheese warehouses and the entire boat is very well isolated & heated with central heating system in the coldest months.

Vivian was very helpful and responsive. Unfortunately half way through my trip the heat and water heat went out - thankfully there was an option to shower at the office but it definitely made things much less convenient. We also weren’t successful at getting the sauna to work which was a bummer. But Vivian was helpful, responsive, and provided solutions. The place was super cute and had everything I needed. It was centrally located and the people on the dock were also very kind.

We really enjoyed our stay on the Omega boat. It is very cosy, comfortable and clean. Great location too.

DO NOT RENT - To begin with the directions for where the boat is located were confusing and the exact address / unlock code for the boat and luggage locker area not given till the afternoon of check in . The signs for the Marina are not clear and the boat doesn’t even have the name on the outside. False advertising - The picture shown is not where the boat is docked . For current dock site you look at an ugly stone wall that above has running busy traffic on it that you can hear from inside the boat. The outside of the boat was dirty and hadn’t been hosed down/ scrubbed in a while. The boat was not available till 4pm ( no apologies given , check in was to be at 3pm) and even then garbage was still being hauled out when we showed up at 4pm. There were spider webs in the windows, and the whole place needed a good cleaning. When I ran into the owner she was annoyed because I asked the nearby hotel staff if they knew where the boat might be in the marina ( I'm guessing illegal to rent? ) but she has no right to make me feel bad because she is illegally renting out the boat and doesn’t warn people in her rental p[ost of this fact. For the price we could have had a clean room with an on time check in and a better atmosphere vs looking at a brick wall while sitting on dirty outdoor chairs.

The stay was more rustic than anticipated. Plumbing is something to get used to and we weren’t prepared for that, the wifi did not work. No towels available. The cost was too high for the amenities provided.
