This fully-furnished oceanfront condominium, is located 23 feet from the water on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona. We are on the third level of a four level complex, A23. Listen to the ocean waves or catch a beautiful sunset while dining on your private lanai.

Enjoy a great vacation with your own special place on the Kona coast. There is only a coconut palm between you and the ocean front, you get the air and the sound from the ocean 24/7. If you like to watch the surf and hear it at it's best, this is the place. Just about everything that happens at the Kona waterfront can be seen from the lanai. There is whale and dolphin watching, para sailing, submarine touring, kayaking, and surfing all going on at one time or another. In addition many of the cruise ships can be seen at anchor. An active seascape.

The Kona Reef Condominiums are among the most desirable places to stay in Kailua-Kona. It is an easy walk to town for shopping and popular restaurants. Ocean access is steps away at Kona's newest beach. Staying here will make your visit to Hawaii a memorable one. This condominium is a non-smoking unit.

Perfect getaway

We loved our stay here - when you travel halfway across the world, it has to be worthwhile and this did not disappoint! The location is perfect, walkable to so many places to eat, drjnk, shop with the beach right on the doorstep, while still being super peaceful. We loved watching surfers in the mornings and sunsets in the evenings. The apartment was equipped with everything we could possibly need, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we venture to the Big Island again in future.

Incredible views

The view from the lanai is spectacular. Having formerly lived in Hawaii and visiting nearly year, we have not seen a more fantastic view. Highly recommend this unit if you enjoy surf, waves and the beauty of the ocean.

Absolutely Perfect

This gem is everything you want for your Hawaiian vacation. There may be equal views on the Kona Coast but there are none better. And you are an easy walk into town, to restaurants, the farmers market, etc. The owners are easy to work with. Would give more than 5 stars.

Best Condo Location

I have been to Hawaii multiple times and this condo is superbly located. I could whale watch from the lanai. I watched the boogie boarders, surfers, swimmers, kayakers, & various boats from the lanai. I even spotted a turtle. Not to mention the wonderful sunsets. We never turned on the TV. All the amenities were there. We could walk to the restaurants and shops. We especially liked having dinner on the lanai as the sun set.

Right on the Water

We loved our stay at Kona Reef. The condo had everything we needed, location was great, and oceanfront view could not have been better. The nightly sunset ritual, complete with the blowing of the conch shells, was magical. Thanks to Cindy and Bart for the hospitality!

Just what I was looking for

I was hoping to spend September in a restful space on the water. And Kona Reef delivered. Exactly as advertised. The kitchen was well-appointed. Plenty of beach/pool supplies available. And a lanai with a spectacular view. Nice to be able to walk to the village.

July 19th - 26th, 2023 Stay

Our original trip was to Maui and due to the fires, we had to change our plans last minute to the Big Island. This condo was an amazing last minute find. The pictures and description was everything it promised. The view and the sound of the ocean from the deck was perfect to sit and have your morning coffee and enjoy wine in the evening. The kitchen had everything needed, the AC was great and the beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels provided are an added bonus. The location is perfect for walking down to amazing restaurants with ocean views and endless shopping. The unit is perfect for 2 people to stay and Cindy was great to work with. Would definetely return and highly recommend.

Kona Reef condo

We loved our stay in this Kona Reef condo. Watching sunrises, sunsets, and surfers just off the lanai is a huge treat. The condo is well stocked and comfortable. Cindy answered our questions promptly. We'd definitely stay here again.

A lovely place!

The Best!!

This property is a dream. The location makes it easy to walk to town, the view is unsurpassed, the owner is easy to work with. Kitchen is well equipped. The complex is filled with friendly people. Rent this place if you can!

View, location, really nice place

The view from the balcony is fantastic. Sunsets are amazing. It's just a block or so from the South end of town. It was nice to to not worry about parking in town. Just a short walk to dining and shopping. The place is pretty private too. Although the resort is on Ali'i Drive this unit is far from the road - all you hear is the ocean. The condo is well appointed with everything you need. Even a small cooler which we used on our road trips to visit other parts of the island. Super clean and comfortable. The hot tub by the pool was nice at the end of the day. We didn't take advantage of them this time, but there are gas BBQ's too.

Stunning sunsets and well-stocked condo!

This was such a beautiful condo! Stunning sunsets, right over the reef. A very quiet location, for either couples or families. Has a nice pool and hot tub, with a grilling area, all well-maintained. The condo is fully stocked – kitchen, extra towels, beach supplies. Cindy was responsive to any questions we had. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed, this is our fourth Hawaiian island for perspective. Highly recommend it and hope to return soon!

Beautiful view

The stay was great! We love the Kona Reef for the location and views of the ocean. This unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed while on vacation. All our questions were answered in a timely manner. No complaints from us! Aloha and enjoy you will not regret renting this unit!
