Discover Foreverwater, our cottage by the creek, nestled on 17 wooded acres along side Barren Fork Creek minutes from Leipers Fork Village with direct access to the historic dirt path back roads of eastern Hickman County, Lyles TN. This writer's retreat was once home to guitar maker and author, R. O. Barton (The Tucker Novels).

Leverage this fully furnished home as your seasonal escape to the country, your home between homes, or as your rural office complete with high speed broadband internet. Two large bedrooms, each with their own large cedar closets and full baths, flow into an open plan common area with a large stone fireplace, spacious living room, and a modern eat-in country kitchen. Natural woods and stone abound within this berm house inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. This private setting offers easy access to I-840; is central to Franklin, Fairview, Dickson; and sits just 45 minutes west of Nashville.

Unique, Hidden Hideaway

This is a great place to enjoy some “unplugged” time. Rural setting is breathtaking! The sound of the rolling creek is relaxing. The quiet atmosphere is a much needed break. If you just want some R&R, I recommend. We already want to come back!!

Very nice stay in an out of the way location. We enjoyed the view from the wall to wall windows of the creek. Our granddaughter enjoyed the fire pit. Well appointed stay with a few small (good) surprises.

Lovely home

This is a lovely cottage and, had it not been so cold, it would have been a perfect location for our family Thanksgiving. I was disappointed to learn that what looked like a roaring fire in the photos was candles burning in the fireplace, but Nathan was kind enough to stop by with space heaters and we warmed up well enough. It was a quick drive off I-840 with a bit of a rough driveway, but the house was worth it.

Visiting family in Santa Fe

Great place. Yet, best place we ever stayed through Vrbo. Clean, secluded. All toiletries, snacks, coffee provided……I did not agreed with all the requirements before check out. I believe the cleaneg fee should be enough to take out trachea/ load dishwasher, yams all other things required.

My wife and I just celebrated our anniversary and wanted a quiet day away from "life". The house and property were perfect! We sat outside and read with the sound of the creek in the background. Everything about the house was ideal. From the cleanliness to the layout, it was ideal.

Beautiful property

It was absolutely beautiful. The photos do not completely capture the beautiful of the outdoors and the inside of the house. It was very clean and well kept, the shower is amazing, you will find peace and tranquility there.

Quick get away!

We took a short overnight trip to celebrate my in laws anniversary. Beautiful location. Would have loved to have had more time to spend outdoors. The creek views are lovely.

Very relaxing

We were very glad we chose this location for the center of our stay. We were visiting TN for a wedding location close to this Cottage by the Creek property location. The property owners were very nice & helpful. The location property outside as well as inside, was clean, safe, and relaxing. Everything worked out nicely! Our Sincere Thanks.

Peaceful stay in the woods

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary with a night away at this cabin. It was so restful and peaceful. All the decor and touches invited you in to enjoy your time. The view and master bathroom were amazing. The bed was comfortable and we were able to slow down, enjoy the view, the fire pit and the stay. We definitely want to go back!

Incredible location

Such an awesome place to stay as a family. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the abundance of space and the proximity to the river. The house was perfect, and the master bath is legendary. In addition, the communication from the property manager was impeccable and they were ready for us ahead of schedule which was a welcome surprise as we were traveling with tired children. This will definitely be our first choice if we are in the area again.

Great stay with amazing views!

My family and I were impressed as soon as we pulled up to the gate. This property is beautiful and well maintained. The creek flowing through the yard was fun to play in and the house was quite accommodating. We plan to make this our place to stay whenever we are in the area.

Much needed weekend away

We had a wonderful time. We drove from Chicago and received a message that we would have access 2 hours earlier than expected which worked out perfectly for us. We arrived to a very clean and nicely appointed cabin. We really enjoyed the fire pit which overlooks the creek. The bed was very comfortable. The master bath is AMAZING. Makes we want to kick one our kids out of the house and turn their room into a copy of this bathroom. Yes, it is that big! We loved the accommodations and will absolutely be recommending to friends.
