We came into town for a few shows. This cabin was a 20 minute drive from the capitol which seemed like a trek on the map but the drive felt shorter and the beautiful view made it worthwhile. The price was very reasonable, the requests for cleaning were very reasonable (some places expect you to strip sheets, start laundry, etc. The requests here were to take out your garbage and wash any dishes you used.) and the property was beautiful. The cabin was not wheelchair accessible, and some stairs to the lake were quite steep. Parking was right by the building. Checking in was fast - we came late and Frank left our keys in the cabin and the lights on. Checking out was just as smooth. I highly recommend this property for anyone without mobility/accessibility concerns. Beautiful, reasonable, exactly how a vrbo should be!

Simple, charming get away

This place is sweet— from the welcome board with your name on it, to posted restaurant/activity recommendations, to cute rustic comfortable cottages (well appointed and comfy bed). Beautiful siting—can enjoy coffee and lake views from private deck.

Had a great stay in cabin 2 the last few days. Super clean and it had everything I needed. Very relaxing. Host Frank was very kind and courteous.

Amazing scenic getaway!

The cabin was very clean and perfect size for 2 people. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook. Beautiful patio and view of the lake - didn’t get a chance to take the kayaks out because it was a little chilly but looking forward to it next time.

Cabin by The Lake

It was nice meeting Frank and getting his help with the "Luggage Cart." The Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed, but most importantly it had a nice view of the lake. While the Cabin is in a Resort it was very private due to the layout of the Cabins and the covering trees and bushes. We would stay there again.

We loved staying in this lake-side cabin. We used it as a base for visiting Madison and other local attractions. Quiet and peaceful!

We stayed in cottage #2, it was a very easy check in process and Frank was wonderful with his hospitality and recommendations for places to go kayaking around the area! I do not recommend dropping kayaks at the cottage location due to very steep steps going down to the dock. The bed and bedding could definitely be updated. The shower base was a little sketchy when I stepped in, but overall everything was great! It is a perfect little cottage for the price!! I definitely would go back!!

rustic beauty

The property is the recipient of very evident responsible care in the buildings and on the grounds. Its rustic feel adds to its charm and the lake and its view from the cabins completes the relaxing atmosphere.

Great rustic cabin near the lake

I enjoyed staying at this rustic cabin. It was clean and furnished to fit the wooded lakeside setting. The host, Frank is both friendly and kind. If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton with fancy appliances, this is not your place. If you are looking for a friendly, low key, low stress cabin on the lake, this is your place.
