Beautiful Lakefront Home, Great for a Peaceful Getaway...

Charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath waterfront saltbox on a small (11 acre) quiet lake in upstate NY in the town of Hampton (not on Lake George) 3 mi. from the VT border, 35 miles from Lake George village, with a screened in porch.

Open floor plan, private home, available year-round. Enjoy a good book on our deck while the setting sun reflects onto the water. In the fall, the foliage mirrors onto the lake; in the winter, the woodstove keeps you cozy and warms you up when you come in from skating or x/c skiing. Our leather sectional is a great place to watch a movie at the end of your day or read a book as your kids work on a puzzle on our coffee table. Enjoy the private lake with our canoe, kayaks, paddle boat, paddleboard or rowboat. It's a great family vacation, that can include your well-mannered family dog, if you just can't bear to leave him behind. Please identify the pet(s) you would like to bring and read our pet policy at the end of our rental agreement and identify the pets you would like to bring, via an inquiry whether or not you agree to the terms of our pet policy.
Our master bedroom with a plush, king-size bed and main bath area are downstairs, with two additional bedrooms and another bath upstairs, making it easy to share with another couple or family, while still having privacy. You can chill out and enjoy the peaceful setting, or when you're re-energized and ready to explore, Lake George Village is just over a half hour away, with large Riverboats to tour the lake, restaurants and outlet shopping. Manchester, VT is a Designer Outlet mecca, or take a day trip to charming VT towns like Middlebury, Ludlow, Brattleboro, or everyone's favorite, Burlington. There's great Horseback riding and a seasonal rodeo at Pond Hill Ranch just 20 minutes away; Poultney, VT has a rail trail for hiking, dog-walking, biking, x/c skiing or snowshoeing, just 10 minutes away; golfing at Milestone Golf Club just 10 minutes away, or at Lake St. Catherine Country Club; pickleball courts 15 minutes away in Granville, NY.
For full disclosure, our house is located on a hillside. The parking area is off the main road; then there are steps or a path downhill to get to the house. The lawn area around our house is level. Then there are some steps followed by a hillside to walk down to the water. Going back uphill to the house will get you some exercise. We have done our best to provide pictures for your review!
No prom weekends or college spring break rentals; minimum rental age: 25. We do not have central a/c, but there is a single mini-split available upon request for $25/day.
***The months of July and August require 7 nights w/ Friday to Friday. Occasionally, there are shorter timeframes available (ie, when someone books 10 days) so that may show up on the calendar.
