New.. Wednesday YOGA on the beach! Enjoy beautiful sunrises, walks along the beach, fishing, crabbing, clamming, biking, three boardwalks, many outstanding restaurants in South Bethany or Bethany Beach, or another 200 restaurants in neighboring Delaware and Maryland communities.
South Bethany provides an excellent area for leisurely or serious biking, and is located between expansive tax-free outlet shopping near Rehoboth Beach and considerable night life, abundant amusement parks, arcades, and golf courses in or near Ocean City, MD.

We are Washington, D.C. residents, and have been coming to South Bethany for 30 years. South Bethany and the Bethany Beach area is widely viewed as one of the most family friendly resorts on the Delmarva Peninsula. In coming to the beach, we most enjoy doing not a whole lot and having the day to do so. The beach on North 2nd Street is beautiful, and generally not too crowded. N 2nd St has a direct access walkway to the beach and you can stake your spot in the sand in the morning and leave it all day! Enjoy a lunch break at one of the 3 decks mid-day. Rinse off at the outdoor enclosed shower area and hang up your beach towel in the clothes line in the back.

We built this house with the help of my Greek father-in-law. Of all the resorts in the Delmarva, we find South Bethany the most compelling, and the most family friendly. And, we are drawn to North 2nd Street, in particular, in light of the other residents on the street, and the beach in this particular area of South Bethany being less congested.Young kids can walk back to the house without crossing the highway.They love the hung swing in the lower deck!

Property lays out quite well in an open space for family gatherings in the upper floor, is in excellent condition, and those that have stayed at the property are uniformly complimentary of our home and of South Bethany. We rent only 8-10 weeks per year, take excellent care of the home, and use the home ourselves a fair bit during the off season.
