Just renovated guest quarters in a modern home in the exclusive Montecito section of Santa Barbara. Private entrance. Easy street parking.

Over 400 square feet. Steam room shower, mini-refrigerator, microwave, queen bed / real mattress, 65' Samsung flat screen TV and Blu-Ray DVD player.

Free wireless internet.

Private patio area.

Guests must descend a dozen stairs to enter.

No air conditioning. Nor is there in the main house where we live. Rare in Santa Barbara houses due to its coastal location. This was never an issue for years but last few summers have had some record-breaking heat. We provide a powerful Dyson tower fan and an auxiliary fan which will make room comfortable if there is a “heatwave”. This is a rare rare occurrence.

House features views of Montecito Peak and is in a remote tranquil canyon.

The Pacific Ocean (beautiful Butterfly Beach) - 3 miles.

Closest restaurants / ATM / food market / pharmacy (Coast Village Road or the local's Upper Village) - both 2.5 miles

Downtown Santa Barbara (shopping, movies, museums, dozens of restaurants) - 3 miles.

Santa Barbara Mission - 4 miles.

What a wonderful studio getaway in Santa Barbara. Studio is just as pictured- modern, secluded and very comfortable. From the sectional and large screen TV for movies to a very comfortable bed and modern beautiful shower and steam room, It has everything we needed for the two of us to enjoy a few nights away. We loved the location close to the trails but not far from restaurants and shops. Hope to be back and would most definitely stay again. The hosts are warm and welcoming but also allow for your privacy. Thanks you!!

The studio was exactly as described. It was quiet and extremely comfortable. We used the patio a lot. The hosts were responsive to questions and were very gracious when we managed to lock ourselves out. I would highly recommend this studio. We will be looking to stay again in the future!

Quiet Repose

Spacious and modern lower level bungalo with all essential amenities. Our host, Lisa, was very cordial and accommodating. Had a wonderful stay. Would definitely reserve again.

Cozy Nest in the Hills

Our short stay in Montecito was made all the better by the warm and cozy accommodations. We had everything we needed and were just minutes from all that Santa Barbara has to offer. We would definitely return to this wonderful spot tucked away in the hills.

Tranquil Studio

We had a wonderful stay. We were in town for family wedding events. Lisa and Chris both gave us great recommendations along. It was very nice waking up to and returning each evening to the tranquil and beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful Gateway in the mountains!

This was first time in California and I can say I’ve had the best experiences here. The stay was top notch. Beautiful scenery and very luxurious. The host was communicative and made the check in and check out experience very easy. This property is a must see and very clean. Don’t miss out on this wonderful place.

This is a beautiful studio in a beautiful area! Clean and modern.

My boyfriend and I came to stay here over the weekend to celebrate his birthday. We absolutely loved the space, it was spacious, clean, and modern. The shower was amazing and the bed was comfortable. We loved calling this our home for a few days! It’s close to everything not to mention it’s a beautiful area. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Santa Barbara. Both hosts were so kind and patient. Overall amazing stay!

Amazing location

Really enjoyed our stay in the Montecito getaway. Chris was a great host and very accommodating. The listing is exactly as described. I really loved the modern minimalist feel of the studio. You really have amazing views from the location. Downtown is only a few minutes away and if you enjoy the outdoors there are some beautiful hikes! I recommend Montecito Peak. Also, love the additional steam feature in the shower! Overall my boyfriend and I were really pleased with our stay and definitely recommend this rental!

Great studio!

We had a great two night stay in this open studio. High ceilings, clean modern decore, bright with lots of windows, big screen tv with home theater sound, wifi, new bathroom with BIG shower and steam function, tucked on the side of the main property with private entrance. Hosts are wonderful -- non-invasive but really helpful and clear. It's spare design is great in general, but if you need a hair dryer, iron, or coffee maker, you'll probably have to ask the hosts because they're not available in the room. The bed is perfectly fine, but as an inflatable it is really the only detraction for what is otherwise a terrific accommodation. We had a great stay! Thanks!!!

As Described and It Delivered!

This place was perfect for my surprise weekend getaway for my wife and I. The place was exactly as described and the pictures pretty much summed up the space. A few notes from our trip, hope they are helpful. Although the property is on top of a hill that has an incredible view, the studio really doesn’t have a direct view of the valley below. The room doesn’t have AC, but we were very comfortable with the fan that was provided. I typically have my room freezing, but the temp wasn’t a factor at all. The bathroom was great, this was not noted or I don’t think it was on the description, but the shower has steam room option! Loved it!!! We Ubered to State St. and the Santa Barbara Bowl. Spent about $16 each way and was well worth it. Driving up that hill at night can be challenging, very little light. The hosts, Chris and Lisa, were responsive and accommodating. We had everything we needed, but they were more than willing to help if we did need anything else. Super easy check in and check out. Lastly, if you do stay here, don’t leave any food out, we had a small issue with ants. Totally our fault, but def worth noting. I would highly recommend this place and we would certainly come back if we plan to come to this neck of the woods again.

Uncomfortable to drive to this location after dark.It is also in a remote part of Montecito. Although they said no AC, there is no fan on the premises, and it was very warm when going to bed, Yes, you can request a fan, but it should just be there.Also around 8AM a horn honked from the parking area 2 out of 3 mornings????

Place for a dear friend!

Our 85 year old aunt found the stairs a little scary so we switched her out and put a friend here! She loved the relaxing atmosphere and tranquil setting. Great hosts! Highly recommend!
