Wonderful stay with an ideal location nestled in Hill City. All the attractions and tourism sites are easily accessible from this area. Pleasant accommodations that were comfortable, clean and well maintained. The additional Dairy Twist ice cream/burger shop on property was a nice spot to eat on our last full day. 8/10 recommended

It was very nice. We did smell a mouse and heard it in the early morning. There were traps but they were licked clean in the morning that we heard it.

Great vacation, South Dakota

Ponderosa cabin #4, was exactly as advertised. The cabin was clean and everything we needed to make our stay was there. This vacation was in our top 5 of all our vacations we have taken.

Mt Rushmore trip

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the beautiful views and nearby attractions Dairy twist restaurant near property has good food! Nice and quiet would book again

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. It was close to Hill City and Keystone so the location was great. The kids liked the loft area. The cabin was clean and stocked with the necessities. Would definitely recommend!

Great location

Great property in great location. Perfect for family. Cabin had everything we needed to make breakfast each morning. My son enjoyed the loft space. The ice cream shop on property was a bonus!

Great family spot in the middle of it all!

The cabin was a bit smaller than we expected, but it was the perfect spot for us to rest after exploring the sites of the Black Hills. It was close to Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, the 1880 Train, Bear Country, the Reptile Gardens and lots of other great family adventures. The cabin was clean and fully furnished. Our boys loved sleeping up in the loft.

Overall was great! Great proximity to everything in the Hills! Couple minor things—road noise detracts from overall ambiance! The one Small bathroom won’t work for larger individuals! We loved the Dairy Twist next to the property! Great stay!

South Dakota road trip

We enjoyed staying in this cabin. However, we were so busy., we didn't have much time there to enjoy the outside property. Guess we will just have to come back. Thanks for having us.

Lots of pollen

Coffee maker didn't work. Not enough hot water for 2fast showers. Enjoyed the scenery but it's right on the main highway so plenty of traffic. Friendly staff and ice cream is great

Perfect in every way!!!

From booking online to check in it was a smooth transaction. The cabin was perfect for my husband and I and another couple. There is more space for kids to stay in a loft upstairs or on the couch. The cabin was spotless and smelled good. We had plenty of room in the cabin and so nice to have two restrooms with plenty of towels and washcloths. There is plenty of seating in the dining room and living room. The beds were super comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and more. They also offer two grills. One propane and one charcoal. We had a very nice porch to relax on. And a firepit out back. They sell wood conveniently located at the office. They have a small playground for kids with a slide, swings and more. They have volleyball net, basketball court, corn hole boards and more. They have thought of everything. It is well taken care of and family owned. Another plus! you can enjoy the Dairy Twist onsite offering hamburgers, ice cream and so much more. We can’t wait to come back and stay in the future.

Perfect place to stay for exploring

Our family of 6 (4 kids 13 and under) stayed here for 4 nights. We were able to conveniently explore many different locations from a somewhat central location. The open space out back was great for relaxing and for the kids to play. Dairy Twist was fun to walk to and eat at multiple times.

Great Accommodations!

Thanks so much for the great accommodations. Your resort is lovely, safe, clean, quiet and very family friendly. Cabin #4 was perfect for us with the loft for the kids. And Dairy Treat is amazing! All of your staff are so gracious and helpful. And I fell in love with your little dog. Thanks again for a great stay.

Great place!

Great little place and super awesome to have the restaurant right next door; plus the food was great! The kiddos loved the kid zone but we forgot a fishing pole for the teenager.

Family getaway

We had a great time. The location was perfect, close to everything. The Dairy Twist on-site was a huge bonus.
