Minutes from fast food, family dinning, and 3 major grocery stores. Walking distance to the Grimes sportsplex and bike trails are accessible across the street. The house features 3 king bedrooms and a basement living/game area with 3 queen beds. Three and a half bathrooms with essentials. Close to Des Moines amenities. 2 minutes off highway 141.

The house is set up so well for a large group. The backyard is amazing and kept us entertained for our whole stay. The garage game room is a huge bonus. The property is well maintained and in a great location close to everything you might need. Owners were very good with communication and made check in and checkout really easy. Thanks for a great stay!

The house had everything we needed to make our weekend a success! We were shocked to find they even provided pool towels and floaties. The outdoor space with the covered patio area and pool gave us adequate room to enjoy time together celebrating our soon to be bride! Grimes has more of a small town feel with the benefit of being so close to so many fun things in Des Moines! It was great for what we needed!

Perfect for large groups

We had a fantastic stay at this Grimes Family Getaway property! The house was perfect for hosting, incredibly clean, and conveniently located. I would absolutely stay here again.

The house is laid out perfectly for multi-family large groups. We came for the Iowa State graduation ceremonies so we had multiple family members. We had plenty of room to be together and have our own space if we wanted it. The pool and covered patio was amazing. The house had plenty of towels. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and with HyVee just a couple of blocks away we were able to easily create family meals during our 6 day stay. We really enjoyed our time in this home and it felt just like home. The hosts were great! We would definitely book here again when in the area.

We had the best time with our Drake football family on homecoming weekend. The house had everything we needed and more. The weather was amazing and we thoroughly loved the time spend on the back patio in the mornings and evenings. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the space and had a wonderful time. Everyone had fun in garage game space! Was spacious for all of us to be comfortable. Our 90 year old parents loved being able to get together with us and celebrate Christmas together

Grimes House

Nice house, great location! Plenty of room for eight people. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed. We really enjoyed the basement living area! Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot for our family to gather from southwest and southeast Iowa - something for everyone!

Fantastic house with the lovely pool, awesome patio, and fun game room! Everyone had a bed and/or bedroom. It was perfect for us!

Great family getaway

Beautiful house, perfect for our damily weekend. The game room was a HUGE hit, kids ranged from 4-13. House was spotless and well appointed. Thank you for helping us make great memories!

Great Place in Grimes

Had 8 guys for a golf trip. Really comfortable. So nice to eat outside and relax and watch tv and the garage with pool and games is wonderful. Will stay again if in the area.

Amazing stay!

Property was very beautiful. Neighborhood was quiet. Spent most of our time enjoying the relaxing patio and the awesome pool. House was very clean, well stocked and had everything we needed. Gameroom was fun also. Something for everyone. Would highly recommend this property! Was a great place to spend time with family.

Great VRBO

Everything about this property was great, down to the hosts. Communication was great from the start. The house was super clean and a great place to stay. The outside area was amazing (even though the pool was closed for the season). The checkout was great because all we did was picked up our mess and the host's services took care of all cleaning. Thank you.

Christmas in July!

This was the perfect place for our family to get together for a long weekend! The hosts have thought of everything you will need to make your stay comfortable and entertaining. The game room and pool are amazing! The house had a great layout and was very clean. The neighborhood was perfect for stroller walks and visiting a nearby ice cream store. Thank you so much!

Grimes Getaway

The Lawton family were excellent hosts from check-in through check-out. Great communication and thoughtful responses. The home was more than accommodating with space with plenty of beds, blankets, pillows and amount of bathrooms for the space. Our team loved the oversized game room and full basement as places to chill out after a weekend competing at Hyvee Hall.

ISU Graduation weekend

This was an awesome location and property for our ISU graduate's celebration. We traveled from NE Iowa and Texas, we able to stay at one location and had lots of space to gather and converse. The outdoor space and perfect weather were the perfect combination for a grill out. Hosts were great!! And the game room saw a lot of spirited competition. We would definitely stay again. The pool was opened the night we arrived, so we didnt get to use it. However, it completes the outdoor space. To the hosts......until next time.
