Built in 1853 and located on Chatham Square, this home features exposed beams, two decorative fireplaces, and is the epitome of Southern pre-warm charm. With one bedroom and one full bath, Canterbury Garden can comfortably accommodate up to four Lucky guests.

The living area has a full-size sleeper sofa and cable TV, making it a comfortable spot to curl up for some down time. Light and bright, the eat-in kitchen overlooks the courtyard and has a desk perfect for planning out your day. With a tasteful mix of antique furniture, a cast-iron queen-size bed, and en suite bath with walk-in shower, the bedroom is a secluded retreat for two.

Savannah vacation

Comfortable, felt safe, Amenities were good. Pretty clean . The things that really matter were clean.Definitely has an old building odor but you go nose blind after awhile. Cute rental. We would stay again

Decent Stay But Could Use Improvements

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 9 night stay in Savannah was pleasant enough, though I doubt we'll choose this rental again. Focusing on the positive, the location of this property was near-ideal, very close (but not too close) to many restaurants, bars, stores and attractions. Everything seemed just a walk away! An assigned parking spot was essential and the spot was secure enough (gate code to enter the grounds, plus a door code to enter the apartment). We did have issues with the outside light not working, the front door not opening properly, and a light bulb out but Lucky Savannah was very responsive and fixed those things right away. Overall, the interior was clean but not to a professional standard, as we found out over time. Dead bugs, dirty utensils tucked into furniture cushions from previous occupants, stains on the floor, mold in the bathroom, and stained bedding (which we ended up cleaning ourselves). Because there is little to no ventilation (some windows painted shut), it is musty and doesn't smell clean. Appliances are all outdated, but functioned adequately. Kitchen utensils and cookware were old and lacking if you want to cook much. There is some overhead noise from occupants in the floor above. Finally, the wooden gate isn't the best quality (swells up in humidity) and can be difficult to open/close.

Great Savannah Location

The property is in a wonder neighborhood - close to everything. Can walk to all areas of historic Savannah. Bedroom bed very comfortable. Couch and couch pullout adequate. Things were tidy and prepped. Some things a bit old and floor was a bit dirty. Would recommend for a short stay.

Good location to the historic district. Did not use Lyft the whole 4 days. The only draw back a mistake in my part. I assumed having an outdoor garden with a gas barbecue grill I could smoke a cigar, but not the case. Smoking a cigar bad, smoking a brisket ok.

Week of fun

Our stay started out a little rough as we needed to change where we were staying due to some issues with the original location but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Everyone was very helpful

Savannah stay review

Location was perfect. The apartment was very nice and well appointed. The only complaint that I have is that the bed sheets were stiff like they were starched and not soft at all but overall we loved the place

Savannah stay

Had plumbing issues almost immediately but the property manager got us in a different location for the second night. Love Savannah and that area near Forsyth Park. Wish we could have stayed to enjoy the courtyard out back but it was a good place for one night.

Great Location

The location was great and the accommodations were very good. One problem was the WIFI. It was very slow and would not load pages on the phone. This made it difficult to plan our days.

Great Location for a Great Apartment

Reviewer Comments: The location is perfect for visiting beautiful Savannah, and the free DOT shuttle bus makes the entire historic district easily accessible. The garden apartment is clean, roomy, well supplied, and comfortable. Our only issue was the flaky wifi, but that will be fixed soon, I'm sure.

Perfect spot on Chatham Square, Basement apartment was quiet and cozy and perfect for a romantic getaway. Cocktails in the garden after dinner seemed quintessential Savannah.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was in great location, management was very professional but, interior was MUSTY! the odor was bad and we had business to conduct and did not have time to try and get another property. The mustiness smell was significant enough that we rewashed all of our clothing and pillows at home. Nice building, bad smell.

Excellent location, minor inconveniences

We loved our stay in this cute basement apartment in historic downtown Savannah. It was close to everything we wanted to see! We had very minor issues—no can opener, only one trash bag provided, some mustiness, and the floors seem to need a deep clean. But these issues were minor. We would recommend this apartment to anyone! The mustiness wasn’t noticeable after the first day, but I do think a dehumidifier would be smart. The couch also isn’t comfy. But these didn’t detract from our overall stay. Honestly, the worst part was no can opener! 😂 When we had an issue and needed to call the management company, they were kind, swift in response, and fixed the issue promptly. Also—private parking is a lucky find in Savannah! The ice maker in the freezer was an unexpected bonus too, and the ice was crystal clear.

A Fine Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was filled with period furniture that you do not see in rentals. The kitchen and bathroom were basic and adequate. The bed was comfortable. The place was clean but could use some deep cleaning and touch up painting. There is no key for the front gate so all entries are made through the back lane using keyless locks whch frees you from carrying keys. The wifi did not work but we used cellular data for our internet needs. The location is fantastic. We were 2 blocks from Forsyth Park and the free DOT Shuttle bus. The neighborhood has many restored victorian mansions. We could walk to many of the best restaurants including Clary's, Crystal Beer Palace, and a splurge night at 700 Drayton. We felt totally emersed into old Savannah.
